As someone who is still dealing with the loss of our greatest manager ever, prepare for difficult times but always demand (and I think this is most important part) the identity of the club to be respected. That I feel would make the transition smoother. Klopp would be greatly missed, hopefully he gets some well deserved rest and comeback to football in any capacity because anything he does will be enjoyable to watch
Was it successful. Any manager who wins you the European cup was successful. 30 year wait for the league and it looked like it would be 30 more. Klopps biggest problem was Abu Dhabi. 97 points and second in the league, second twice by single point. It was a brilliant tenure and ill always be thankful to the man and that's just as a manager, he's a tremendous human being, intelligent, articulate and caring. It's been a pleasure.
Great watch. Really loved the thorough breakdown. Looking from the outside in i say its easily a success. You guys could have definitely won more, but thats part of life. Win some lose some. The overall lasting legacy for Klopp will go beyond the trophies coz he basically brought Liverpool back from the dead. Made you guys start believing again and like you mentioned basically brought back a winning mentality that you guys had lost since the Benítez days coz even tho you had random seasons where you challenged for honors, none of those were ever planned or consistent, it would come out of individual brilliance like the end of the Suarez era etc. So yeah for me as an outsider id say that's more the lasting impact hes gonna have and the clubs leaders need to make sure that this period doesnt end in vain if they fumble the transition and just let things go back to what they were before Klopp. Basically dont fumble life after Klopp the way we've seen United fumble life after Fergie 🫡
Great video Mike. The comeback against Barcelona is my favorite Klopp moment, we could have won more major honors under Jurgen but his period with Liverpool was a rejuvenation and a definite success!
Thanks Jurgen for managing Liverpool and providing us fans the wonderful good and "hard" times. Hope he has a good rest and see him back soon to the football scene. ps great video of a summary to tribute Klopp legacy at Liverpool by Michael. YNWA
I totally understand the sentiment with Klopp leaving. He is a Liverpool legend. But the fans can rest asured, Slot is a quality manager. He will have Liverpool playing amazing football.
For me, Klopps time in Liverpool is an 8/10. He was a success but i feel like we could have won more. As for Slot, I'm not sure on him, but Edwards is the head of football operations so I'm excited. The first season will tell me if he's that guy.
Just remember this Liverpool club is not championship quality. Klopp leaving is only going to hurt the side. Whether you want to hear it but they have a couple of top level players at the end of their careers and need to be replaced. I expect top 4 with the current players next year but this team needs to be tweaked.
Great Vid Michael, glad you highlighted the beginning of what he inherited from Rodgers to what he has left for Slot, a night and day in difference in terms of quality. In regards to Slot, respect your opinion as I know you follow the Eredevsie, my knowledge only goes as far as a few UCL games, I'm in the underwhelming thought of process, you can question other candidates suitability, but I guarantee, none of them would be seven points adrift of the crap everywhere he goes bar Eredevsie Peter Bosz.
