I'm getting ready to install my Barkbusters within the next couple of days, and while it seems easy enough from the instructions, I think watching the video will just make it that much easier. So thank you for making this informative video.

Thanks for this video mate! 35 minutes and done. Used a Dremel with a cutting wheel for the bracket - done. Great tip on reversing the longer bolt. Cheers from the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.!

Thanks Great video. Certainly helped me. Only thing I did different was to undo the choke cable and pull it through instead of cut the metal loop off. Cheers.

Did the same with mine today! Definitely not necessary to cut the loop off.

What a solid video, I've seen very few videos that explain things and show the views as well as you did. I would appreciate a link in the description for the specific handguards you used. Other than that, Thumbs up!

Thanks for the video, I needed help with the storm guards as no real instructions are in the pack with the bar fitment. And also I can see the end weights may not be necessary. Thanks mate!

Helpful video thanks. Great to see that before starting. Have just finished successfully mounting mine on a 2013 KLR650. They're great. I didn't cut off the metal loop on the left hand side that holds the choke cable. I undid the controls mount on the left handlebar (the unit with indicators, horn, choke, etc) - it is easy to remove with just two screws on the back. That way I could pull out the choke cable, run it back outside of the metal loop and then feed it underneath the metal loop and under the Barkbusters backbone (as recommended in Barkbusters tips for KLR650 fitting - see URL below). The mounting clamp now sits nicely next to the metal loop. www.barkbusters.net/images/KLR650_Fitting_Tips.pdf

It is not necessary to cut off the cable guide to install the BarkBusters on a KLR. Go to BarkBusters web page and download their step by step instructions. Worked perfectly on my 2012 KLT 650.

Hey man, did you need to put on risers? I tried putting some on a year ago and found that I couldn't turn my bars all the way without it hitting the fairing. Did you have any problems?

I'm sure you went back and brushed a little paint over the cut and scuffed coating on the steel bars to prevent rusting...right

How have you found the vibration without the handlebar weights I realized that they can't go back on with this setup
@cyclepreacher3799
@cyclepreacher3799 8 лет назад
Hi Matt thanks for watching mate. I worried about vibration for a few rides as the bars did feel a lot lighter without the weights. I don't even notice it now and don't get numb hands or anything so it's not an issue. Barkbusters do sell weights that can be attached, check the website if you're interested under the accessories tab i think.

Thank you buddy your great video, buy i got doubt... what is the buckblaster kit size did you use? or this is the same versys 650's kit?

Hey man thanks for the comment! Check this out, hopefully it helps. Head to the barkbusters dot net website. Search for Kawasaki and "KLE650 Verseys All" It will bring up the correct mounts. I suggest the two point mount. Good luck!

What did you to secure the cables near the clutch after you cut the metal loop holding them?
@cyclepreacher3799
@cyclepreacher3799 8 лет назад
+Dan Sharp Hi Dan thanks for the comment. I actually didn't secure them to anything, they seemed fine and don't get in the way....you've made me think now though, i'll check it out. If I think it's an issue i'll cable tie it to the clutch cable and it will be fine.
