sounds good glad they are able to give some different specs just trying to help tdc comp stroke valves should be at there lowest good luck hope all is well
Thanks!!! I’ll prolly do a quick video because I’m sure I’m not the only one experiencing these issues with this cam. The other part I’m not truly fond of the powerband. Thanks for the tips.
I've been keeping an eye on your channel seeing if there's been any updates. I as well Want to put a cam in my 110l But after seeing the Tb Cam giving you troubles. I having second thoughts 😕 And I am with you. I'm pretty sure A BBR Cam does not exist 4. A 17 and up. Lol iv never seen one in stock any were. I like what you do keep it up have a good evening
So we have 3 rides now on the cam. I talked to TB parts today. And they are wanting to change my clearances on the valves. I will be making a video shortly on this cam. I just wanted to give it a honest shot before giving it a bad review since TB Parts does make a lot of awesome stuff for a good price. My opinion right now though is to hold off. Even if you gain a extra 1/2hp at most let’s say it’s not worth all the noise it makes and losing your decompression lever in my opinion. But we will see. Thanks for checking in Ron.
Yea. It is very difficult to start now. When you buy the cam it states that there will be no difference in starting. People have cracked their side cases trying to start the motor with these cams in them. I’m going to do a video focusing on the TB Cam.
So we went over this thing multiple times. It’s just how it is. But I’ll have a video on this cam coming out before Christmas. And we have the valves currently gapped 5 thousandths out. We could go tighter but it did absolutely no justice to the noise and your just that much closer to kissing the piston.
It does seem like every time we run it it gets better. And we actually just dialed the bike in a little more last night. But not having that decompression anymore is rough. But I’ll get into that more on a upcoming vid.
@@FullSpeedImpulse yeah only reason I asked is because mine were very noisy, but I had them adjusted out to far, after tightening them up the tick will always be there but it wasn’t as loud and after the bike warms up it almost goes away completely. I didn’t really notice to much of a difference without the decompression cam I’m but I am still on 110 displacement, what are you dealing with the 143 just starting hard?
A lot better I knew I made the mistake of putting cam in correctly but not keeping the b on the right until sprocket was at mark then bolted it up. Was real rich before and now the tip of my plug little white possible lean. Thanks for the help. But that tics annoying .002-.003 hope that’s not to tight
I have not encountered this issue yet. But the v2 does have larger valves it might not be able to use the stock valve seals. Are we talking about the valve gasket or the valve o ring seals?
So which is it!? Does the cam gear mark point towards the front axle or the rear axle?!? You couldn’t have possibly made that aspect of your video more confusing…😂
put the performance cam in and it’s giving me a nasty tick. I’m at tdc at 9 o’clock she tevs up sounds good little rich but my exhaust is getting hotter it seems then normal to ware it’s burning my header wrap Motor is hot hot on 10 min warm up and little wind out would one tooth off maybe cause it to get this way? How are your valves after adjusting .002?
When I first did this install and literally put my cam in 180 the wrong way because I never knew about the lobes going a certain direction. Surprisingly the bike still ran and I even took it on a trip because I was under the impression the tick was normal for these cams. Yes they do tick a little but it should be a very mellow tick.
Okay the lobes shouldn’t be down since this is a horizontal motor. Lobes should be pointed like this < towards the piston. One slightly up and the other slightly down.
Yes. I have a couple videos to where I’m talking about the bike and how the upgrades are improving the riding. Look for our Michigan trip and Badlands trip. Should be posted the the next couple of weeks
Nahhh… I mean our buddy runs them with fairly stock 110. He does have exhaust and a bbr u flow. If anything if your bone stock you might chain a sprocket to adjust for the circumference of the tires.
I buy all my 22s from tboltusa. As for if they are china I have no clue. The china carbs are looking so close to the real ones it’s hard to tell. Supposedly it can say mikuni and Japan on the carb and still be made in china. If you don’t buy from tboltusa be very careful which one you buy. There are two versions and one of them won’t fit correctly.
Yea I’d just make your carb work till a 22mm is available or you’re ready to go to the 26mm and Bigbore it. Though we did use the 22mm on a Bigbore kit and that worked really good too
Bro… Turn the cap locks off 😂 literally just talked to Tb parts and they said to adjust to intake .002 and exhaust .003. Which is a little tighter then what we have now. So we will readjust and double check lobe position. They also said (short story) it is normal to have a tick with this cam which is caused by the valve lash.
