Can we all take a moment to appreciate we're living through the final moments of Kmart? People will look back in 20 years wishing they could take a time machine to a Kmart, just like they do now for Hills, Ames and Caldor, to just check it out. If you have the ability and time, go check out your local Kmart before it's too late! I think the end is finally here folks.
I have already visited my local Kmart before it permanently closed. Now my state does not have any Kmart stores left, they have all permanently closed and it does not surpise me at all it is what I expected.
@@jacobfrech288 Dang, I'm sorry man :/. At least your local store didn't end on such a low note with the rest of the chain, being sparsely stocked and falling apart. Not really even that worth a visit if you do have one near by tbh.
My childhood kmart in Mitchell SD closed in 2016. They built a new building In 1990 & this kmart looks exactly like it on the inside at least! I was so excited the entire time watching this cuz I have never seen a video that looked exactly like my childhood kmart! I have never been able to find pictures or video of the inside that my childhood kmart, so it was awesome to see that this kmart had the same set up!

I missed you by mere hours there at Columbia. I watched alot of you're videos over the years too. I think they closed K-Marts by the lease agreements. I noticed they closed busy K-Marts before they closed one's that were not busy whatsoever. Eddie kind of had his hands full with these stores. Alot of them had leaky roof's.

I love your channel. I live by what was the last Kmart in Illinois... It's left Goodwill as the only place I can walk to and buy clothes, housewares and so on. Strange.

Wish some YT creator documented the Kmart stores here in the Island before they're gone (there is a chance one will take at least one of them in the next few days, but I'm still not sure). My dream is to see a Convention (maybe of the Discord people + a few more) come to Puerto Rico and take a look of the stories they could tell here in the Island on flourishing and "semi-dead" malls and abandoned locales. @WallieB26 You really need to come to WV. We have an abandoned K-Mart beside a tractor supply in Bluefield, WV and an abandoned Walmart in Kimball, WV. We have a lot of abandoned places to explore. A lot of places are leaving after one of our hospitals bought out another in a town over so we lack healthcare which makes retail want to avoid the area or just leave.
The old kmart that I live near had a very similar layout (I felt like I was actually there). I went by the location recently and a portion of the building is now a U-haul storage facility and truck rental
Dang you were in my area again, I'm in York PA. I drove to that Kmart and the Willow Street one all the time, after York's location closed. Wish I knew you came to this area again, would have liked to meet you. But if you're still in the area I can show you where York's second Kmart once was. Along with where Hill's and later Ames once was. That whole shopping center is different now, but still has the same name, Delco Plaza. Also our old Sears is currently being turned into a Casino at the Galleria Mall.
When my local K-Mart closed, all prices were raised to full price and then the discount was given off of that price. Meaning if you went to my local K-Mart prior to closing announcement, you got a way better deal on the clearance racks/ sales floor etc., before they announced they were closing.
I went to this store back in February nice store but it had a lack of merchandise multiple shelves were already gone. Sad to see the remaining Kmart and Sears stores slowly die since Lampert pissed off all of their remaining vendors so there just clearing out the distribution centers.
I use to work for Kmart. Chambersburg as a Cleck, Shippensburg Pa. as a stock boy and I was ask to go into the Manager training. Left Shippensburg while I was 18 moved to Lancaster Friutvulle Pike for 6 month. Transfer to the S. S. Kreasge store 65 in Lancaster Pa. two years there and they transfer me to Somerset work there about 2 years. Transfer me to North Plainfield 2 year then the moves me to East Brunswick were all the head guy, had Vice President, Reional Persoanel, Regioal Merchadise for 2 year. I became the youngest co- manager at Langhorne, PA. The manage was an asshole I quite and went to Law Enfrocmemt. I have a few manage that I call the last one was in Rebobeth Bearch, he had to shut th door of that store. I like it that you go a access the country of Kmart.
The Kmart near me is now a uhaul, shocker. I feel like a lot of kmarts and sears are Turning into uhaul and rural king. I’ve seen a lot of both of those stores.

The Kmart in willow Street and the Kmart up in Shillington pa are both ocean state job lot stores and there's a Kmart up near sunbury pa that's a Nissan car dealership now
Fast Eddie strikes again! I actually live about 20 north of the Transformholdco headquarters or lack there of .in my area there is a chain of about 4 car washed called fast eddies I figured that when Fast Eddie dumpert runs the company into the ground he can go work there and be one of the boring car dryers! He is one of the greediest people ever. The last Kmart in Illinois was in Des Plaines and closed in April. Very nice store and very profitable. But hey what are you gonna do. Life moves on. @@laurajean7044 he closed down my childhood Sears in 2017 and now he's now closing down my Kmart and it's the last one in North Dakota which sucks cause my mom used to shop there as a kid in the 1970s
@Dalmation Productions/ Sears Productions My mom worked at the store in Arlington heights IL which closed back in 2002 when Kmart first went through bankruptcy. it is now a Lowe's. My local Kmart in Crystal lake closed in 2013 and is now a Steinhafel's furniture store.
Dalmation Productions / Sears Productions They are closing the last one near me in West Lebanon NH also. It’s two hours away and the next closest one will be three hours away on Cape Cod.
