Kmart Shaler Township, PA 

Hi Wallie, I just found your channel and have been thoroughly enjoying your videos. This store holds a lot of memories for me. My mother worked there for a number of years before transferring and then retiring from the Gibsonia Kmart. Had MANY trips to this store in my youth. Way before Little Caesar's, this store had one of the original cafeteria/restaurants in it. Stopping there to eat was always a treat as a kid. I can still picture the meatloaf. Such good times! Keep up the good work!!

The amount of nostalgia that going into a Kmart gives me is insane. The Big K signage, circular vents and garden shop sign just bring back good memories. When the company becomes history, I'll become a target shopper because screw Walmart.

Love the classic 80s or 90's look. This is a good produced feature with all the special effects

I love the 90s aesthetic in there. The old one in Colonial Heights, VA (since demolished) always felt like a 1997 time capsule. Btw, the NFL Films-esque theme song sets the mood perfectly.

I never missed a "store" before but when you started playing those old jingles I really missed K-Mart... :'( Thanx for the nostalgia trip.....

I love Kmart Stores we used to have a Kmart store in Edmond Oklahoma but it closed in 2001 when Kmart actually went bankrupt after taking over The Venture stores in 1997 after only 5 years and Edmond they went bankrupt and closed their stores all of them in Oklahoma City and Edmond I actually liked them better than Walmart and I really really missed them I wish they were still open in Edmond your Kmart friend Brian Williams Guthrie Oklahoma great video thank you for the Kmart memories retro live on longer than the company will when Kmart is deader than a doornail will always have their memories of the Kmart stores

I have visited closing Kmarts as well as those that are still safe, all over Southern California. I wonder if I should upload the videos I filmed there, because I wanted to document their presence, but shop as well. Sad these stores will close completely very soon. It's a patient on life support.

In a town north of me will be the last K-Mart in Indiana Shockley. I see truly a end of a era next year.

I can remember going to KMart with my dad and they used to have Submarine sandwiches for fifty cents soft pretzels and then that sometimes they have them for $0.25 I must have been about eight years old I remember those times because I lost my dad when I was 11 Good Times

Funny thing is I distinctly remember going through the Kresge's (predecessor to Kmart) in our downtown, which also had a Woolworth's in the same block. Sadly only the former Woolworth's building survives to this day. The Kresge's was turned into the HQ for the local CBS affiliate station before being torn down to make way for the HQ for Southern Union (big eyesore of a building). The former Woolworth's became offices for Vaxserve and I think Sanofi-Pasteur for a little while, but it's empty now. Actually about 40 minutes from me is the location where the J.J. Newberry chain was founded (Stroudsburg, PA) and one of the buildings in their downtown even has lettering on the outside stating as such.

When they close, you might want to get the thank you for shopping but Kmart sign at the front entrance. Since that will be tossed away. It’ll be History. I was able to save a sign exactly likely that at my local Kmart when they closed.

My mom worked there in the KCafe when I was very young and I spent every weekend there growing up, wish I had gotten to visit before it goes.

This is one I haven't seen. Nice looking store. Reminds me of our store here in Hagerstown MD. Clean and we'll stocked. I still don't understand why Kmart is going under. I spent plenty there.

Lived about a mile from this one ,Wallie. So sad to watch this one die. At one time they had a license to print money. Used to have the nicest tomato plants in the garden center.

We still have 2 Kmarts in Charleston, WV. One of them is closing unfortunately, per the latest list of store closures that accompanied the bankruptcy announcement. At least we get to keep one of them for the time being, as well as another one about 15 minutes away that was remodeled a year ago.

My local Kmart has some how made it through this once again. According to management we are still on the top 50 stores list. This store is in Pueblo CO and is one of the last two left in CO. We still have our pharmacy but the little Caesars closed in 2007.

Ah, I loved going to Kmart when I was a kid. Sadly all of them closed this year. There were four total, then three, the. Two this year. All closed. The circular vents. The front entrance high wall where the clock usually is, the sign saying that I you for shopping but Kmart. Less crowds. Great merchandise and vintage registers. Bring back so many memories.

Here in NZ we have Kmart, although it is not owned by USA and is unaffected by bankruptcy. BUT the lack of customers is same as shown in this video. Leads to constant big discounts but people still do not buy. Sign of the times.

Just a thought here while I am watching this first episode of your video, this Pittsburgh area store of yours is kinda identical to the Kmart store I once shopped at in New Lenox, IL. Yes it was a backwarded store on layout but it always had what I wanted. Sadly I miss them. In this economy. Sears should have been sacrificed not Kmart. I can afford Kmart not Sears. I will start going to Target or another regional retailer known as meijer. I like these videos you have put together here. And thanks for showing the Duck Dynasty Chia heads!

In Iowa there isn't one Kmart. I never made it to a Kmart. The last Sears in Des Moines closed recently too. Two stores I never went to

Kmart in Quincy illionis is closing by the end of this year which its gonna be sad for everybody.

There's 2 Kmart stores closing in Chester county outside of Philadelphia on is in a place called thorndale pa the other one is in a place called pheonixville pa

Its sad to see kmart look like a flea market today. The kmart I visted the most was actually pretty far from my house as the ones closer closed years ago. That store though was old and beat up with the k cafe being walled off. I once peeked back there and it was absolutely disgusting. Last I heard it supposed to become big lots or Kroger. My local mall just lost its Sears too sadly.

It's funny when you played the audio for the KMart sale on womens clothes it purrfectly edited into the womens clothing section in YOUR KMART. It's a nice store, but what makes me sad is YOUR KMART is closing. Are you going back to film it as it winds down? I hate what Fast Eddie has done to KMart and Sears while he enjoys bathing in my money at his big mansion in Connecticut, not caring about the thousands of employees lives he's ruined. I sometimes play KMart radio while I'm doing my cat sitting scheduling or reading emails and last holiday played its holiday tunes when I decked out my tree (a three hour process with Tigger constantly climbing into it.) You and your friends provide the best videos and the humor i need after a long day Cat sitting (which I love. The commuting and dealing with sour people on mass transit not so much.)

It's really too bad that KMart Stores are closed, or closing,or Will close. I did feel a tad of sentiment, reality hit, the chain is Dying. I loved KMart. I had one near me for a long time, it changed To Sears, then back to KMart. There was a Little Caesar's, but It was taken out when Sears took over, now it's closed, it has been For a while now, it's too bad, but a reality, online shopping is really Popular, and will stay that way, nobody has to go out to shop Anymore, that's what people like.😐

Hopefully at least Kmart becomes like Amazon and a online service

Kmart still gets my business even now. They know me and my parents by name. The Manager at our Kmart in my town worked his way up to Manager. He Remembers when I was a little kid. He plans to retire the day the company goes belly up. He saved up a lot of money to retire without the companies help. He is like screw corporate I'm retiring when this company finally dies because of Eddie our stupid CEO. I frequent my local Kmart a lot. I still buy my clothes at Kmart.

Hey Wallie we found a couple of Kmart special Christmas edition plush bears with the Kmart tags still on them at the Cranberry Goodwill on 228 (the new one) i have a photo of it but i have no way to send it to you on here not sure if that's something you might be interested in there was (2) of them there as of tonight.

We still have a local Kmart open here. It was built about 30 years ago, and looks like they never put a cent back into the business. It's a filthy gross store with water stains on the ceiling, and a grungy floor that's never seen a buffer. I refuse to even go in to it.

I'm really hoping that Kmart recovers. I have an account with Kmart.com because it's the only way for me to shop there. I usually find good deals and the fact that you can do layaway online is pretty cool. But I can't blame people for not wanting to shop there, the stores look sad and depressing. Like I said I want them to recover and thrive but that's only possible if they somehow get the money to build new, modern stores.
