I just had this done for a Baker's Cyst in my left knee. I have had a Baker Cyst for about 10 years, it is due to some arthritis and probably an injury. I caused the problem this time by over excercizing with weights. Here is the problem, once the Baker's Cyst broke -- about 5 years ago and I was bedridden for 5 days. It is very painful when the fluid runs down to your calf. My doctor and I decided to aspirate it for the first time (it became quite painful this time and I did not want it bursting). Was the aspiration painful? Yes, somewhat, for a few seconds. It is tolerable. My doctor, who has experience in the procedure above, applied local aneastesia (some topical skin thing that felt cool), and knew what he was doing. He did three aspirations at different points. I was quite bloated with synovial liquid (it was yellow and was not infected), and he filled 3 and a half of those syringes with it. It brought instant relifef. It was well worth it. My doctor was also from India btw. Within three days I am as good as new -- and just have to watch the amount of weight I lift now.
@@DrVinayKumarSingh I am in Palm Beach County but will recommend you to people in Broward and Dade if they need help. My doctor (Vernon Rebello) said you have to be trained properly to do this, and most doctors in the USA are not. Seems doctors trained in Indian/UK are far better with the procedure :).
16g needle with no lido, nova numbing shot first. Woof that’s gotta sting!!!. I could feel her pain from here. Having had this, cortisone injections and gel injections for 10 years now, I can attest, knee pain sucks but this 2 minute pain is so worth months of relief.

I have a posterior medial meniscus root tear with extrusion. I have no pain or any impairment. I get soft grinding that comes and goes. Would a knee injection provide any benefit from the grinding. Would like your opinion. Thanks

Sir, what about managment of infection?! After aspiration nanagment ? Is it safe to inject some sort of antibiotic intraarticular?or just systematic ?! What will you do if there is leakage of pus to cuff muscles ?! Interested and much thanks
Do these aspirations work on very thick synovial fluid ? I have to press and hold the knee a few seconds to make a dent. That’s how thick and stubborn the fluid is

i Had a patella dislocation 3 wks ago. My knee is still swollen. I got my fist aspiration after 1 wk and only got 20cc. Because of the pain the doctor said we should stop. When is it too late to get another aspiration

If I had fluid on the knees again I would definiely use Osmo Patches. They work by osmosis and draw the fluid out. Yes! They do work! I have no connections with the supplier or manufacturer. The Osmo patch got me up and running again!
I had Bursitis, with a golf ball size swelling at the knee caps and painful. My GP suggested I would have to have surgery but carry on with the painkillers. On first using the patches they were very wet in the mornings, I persisted and the swellings gradually went down. It took time, but it was successful!
