Hi there, I fell 8 weeks ago running an ultra and im thinking I've also done this, the pain isn't improving, are you getting treatment or surgery at all? I'm seeing the specialist (again) next week
@@paulhoulden I know exactly how you feel. I had sciatica and stupid me wore high heels and my knee gave way. I have been in so much pain for months now. I am going to get a MRI and see a specialist. I hope you both feel better soon :)

@@Bkbond I tore both my medial (when I was 20) and my lateral (when I was 30) I got surgery for both and physical therapy Depending on how tore it is usually physical therapy will help it heal mine were both grade 4 tears and I had "give out" so that's why I got surgery on both
@@luisibanez3180 I tore my lateral meniscus so it like clicks back and forth into place. Sometimes it pops loud af! Lol. Other than that I have like shooting sharp pain around the front of my patella. It feels weird like if I’m still building strength to it and I can put all my weight on it. I run a bit tho so it’s not too bad.
@@fractalofgod6324 to be honest I’d go to a doctor. You may risk it healing incorrectly and cause further complications. I didn’t even know my meniscus was torn until I got the results back from the doctor I thought I had just sprained it really bad or something.
Dealing with this now due to hitting a guard rail head on completely tore my lateral meniscus. Started PT today will this help it? Or will I possibly need surgery??
