Great click! The way the leather hugs the grooves of the handle is special. Congratulations on such a beautiful piece of work. Thank you!

Very nice click indeed. Love this one. so glad that you took the time to hollow out for a one piece sheath, instead of a split sheath. fits the style of this build very well.

Thank you Tom. Yeah I thought so too. Didn't really want to split it.

Hello brother. That is a unique sheath . I love it and the knife! I like leaving natural things as natural as I can also. Thank you brother for the mention. I just thought , perhaps you could also decorate a sheath or handle with filled-in holes purposely drilled in patterns or letters with different colors in the epoxy. The holes would not have to be deep and the size of the divots could be varied. Someone has probably thought of this before but the thought is new to me. 'Might work? Also, what are those long bits called that you use? They look like aircraft bits. Once again, i really like that sheath. Keep up the good work, Vahid.

Thanks Rick, there is a world of epoxy out there with lots of creative usage. I've been carrying the idea of a black spotted antler knife but I've wanted to solve it in a more "natural" waybthan tainted epoxy. It is tempting though... the long drill I'm using I believe is from the world of medical treatment. I think it's specifically for bone.

@@VahidCullsberg Good morning from Kentucky, U.S.A., my brother. I lean in the same direction as you. Man-made glues and such are very useful, but I rather like "natural things". I use deer dung , charcoal and pine tar to make natural glue when it is appropriate. I also use hide glue when I can. I like using natural gut and sinew for wrappings along with rawhide. I have used different colored soil mixed with hide glue to paint designs on indigenous American reproductions. I have also used walnut hulls to make a good dark stain. I I use an ancient stain called vinegaroon that uses vinegar, rust and sometimes coffee. It seems to work well on wood and bone. I haven't tried it on antler. It works better warm on surfaces that are not too polished. I wonder how a scrimshaw technique with shallow drill divots instead of carved lines would work? I think the stain would take in better in the drill divots than on polished surface and then wipe off excess. I am just thinking out loud. I will try this on a piece of scrap antler. May we offer our lives as a spiritual Bethlehem and pray that our LORD would birth fresh things from above in us this year. Yours in Prayer, Pastor Rick Trumbo.

might have been easier to cut the spike in half and hollow it out, then rivet the halves back together

Hi, definitely so. But I wanted it to be a whole piece this time. Have you watched my other knife sheaths? Thanks for watching and commenting.
