Learn how to throw a knife the way I was taught; the spin technique. Its a fun way to kill time outdoors! Check me out on: Instagram: @geekygunguy Twitter: @geekygunguy
@@CybericXL I know Im just saying its easy to get cut on dull knives because you typically just think "hey its dull it cant hurt anyone," which isnt true at all.
They throw a specialized thing called a Kunai, not a knife. It is designed to not only be thrown, but also can be used as a tool for digging. This demonstration works for most balanced knives. No-spin throws are pretty badass tho
@@hochspannunglebensgefahr5339 Kunai were actually multipurpose, working not only as a trowel but also as a knife, a crowbar like tool (used for prying), and various other purposes
Lol whenever I am throwing knives in my backyard I’m so self conscious that my neighbors are going to yell at me for the noise because when the knife misses it’s so loud
use rugs they muffle the sound... I shot a lot of arrows with a rug handing behind the target not a sound if I miss, other wise it sounds like a hammer hitting wood
I've had my kunai knives since Christmas, and I haven't thrown a single one. Now, at 4 AM, I have the urge to learn how to throw knives. This video helped a lot, thanks!
I went axe throwing recently and it made me realize that I really want to throw knives, and kunai knives look extremely cool. I'll definitely use this video for future reference
You are hilarious!! I’m embarrassed to tell my parents that I want to try this out (they will say its a phase or just laugh (‘: ), but im willing to try!! I do have some safety concerns though, do you have any tips, i’d rather like to keep my eyes. Lol
This isn't how I learned to throw knives. I always throw from the blade. The Knife always only goes half rotation. The further away from the target the closer to the handle you hold the knife. The closer to the tip of the blade the faster the knife rotates. Not saying there's only one way to throw a knife but this is how I was taught and it works very well.
@@geekygunguy2158 hands down the best throwing knife I've ever use is a bayonet. I swear that thing always sticks and if need be I'm confident it would go right through the chest.
@@geekygunguy2158 I have questions 1 on what can I throw them other than wood planks ? 2 can I throw them at wet earth (meaning I’m throwing them down) 3 what other tools are good to use for throwing I would much appreciate if you could answer
Damn everytime I'm cooking something, cutting veggies, this is what I keep thinking in my brain. Now I (J)ust need loc(K)down to be over so I can try this with my classmates at school. Btw you are really cool.
Hey that tip to release the knife before finishing elbow extension really helped me. I am new at throwing knives and I had been watching some tutorials, but I could not find a step by step technique that covered the release time. I had found that I had to realase it about the height of my eys, but this was to intuitive to be technical and more reliable. If it came from your dad he had good tehcniques!
Awesome video, it answered all my questions and concerns about the rotations. I was sinking them some of the time and then others just clanging off all over the places, which was discouraging. My only question: when I was throwing them for the full rotation, it felt like the knife wasn't going that fast through the air... Do you gain speed of throw as you get better, or do I need to be throwing faster as a beginner?
Thanks for thenkind words!...power is in the elbow and rotation is in the wrist...if you feel like its not going fast enough...you can throw it harder and adjust accordingly...but don't forget your form and release...thats most important...HAPPY THROWING!
That was a great vid Sir, I was curious on your second trick shot as the knife was released flat but ended up on target upright. Then you pulled off an amazing third into the bush and hit an amazing shot and realised your edit was great 😂😂😂😂 love that you didnt take the video too seriously whilst showing us all your true clearly to see knife throwing skills (straight to the point 😉😜). Liverpool. UK. KEEP SAFE, much love ❤
Poindexter is definitely one of my favorites. Sure, there may be more OP characters, but he is human with skill, and still bests the top heroes. Speaking of which- Netflix’ Daredevil (especially S3) is a masterpiece.
As person who is totaly above 18 and not a person who kinda just decided that they were 15 on their last birthday i will now figure how to get throwing knives and use them
If anyone has ever gone axe throwing... when that axe drops to the ground. DX That shit isn't just discouraging, it's embarrassing. It sounds like you're dropping a cup in the middle of the night multiplied by 3,000.
Awesome video Brotha!! I wasn't necessarily considering being a subscriber... Not until you said, "Don't be a dick.... Be a blessing...." 🙏🏻 A VERY much earned subscription from me 😁 Have a blessed life and many blessings to you and your loved ones my friend.
Let me say using a throwing knife is a gamble because if you miss/the handle is the one that is hit then you wasted a good knife but if you don’t miss you can take on the enemy first before he gets to you
When I throw, and I hear that sound, I makes me want to cut myself. Thanks for that valuable information. I've been throwing off and on for years. Never did figure out the blade, than handle formula. Only could was successful throwing the handle, my dissince seemed forever limited.i commend you for sharing your tecniq.i I'll be shue to try it out.thanks.when I throw i,my main objectin.is to bury that m.fer.like throwing a hard ball.
Awesome my dude! I'll be doing more throwing vids in the near future...keep practicing and im sure you were only joking but in case you weren't...just to be safe...self inflicting pain is never the answer.
So I'm a huge Expendables Lee Christmas fan and I got a set of these Kunai for Christmas a couple days ago. As you said, they are extremely sharp. I was under the impression they were intended to be thrown only from the handle but now I'm contemplating the blade throws. As a knife fan, the idea of purposely dulling the edge hurts my soul but going to the ER for stitches, again, isn't very appealing either. So, can these be thrown from the blade end without cutting your hand or should I anger the knife gods by intentionally dulling them first?
Hahaha. The blade shouldn't really "slide" out of your hand. It's more of a release. So you should be fine...if you'd like...I would tape up the blades leaving the point exposed it you're worried about cutting your hand. Maybe use some painters tape.
And deadshot cause do I really need to explain myself. Well to bad I will not only is he a master assassin/hitman he is trained in so many hand to hand combat fighting styles. The man don't miss. Even tho this an old video I really thought dc got will smith's deadshot right. I'm just disappointed he won't be back for another one. What do you talk think.
You left out an important step. How to hold the knife. Forward or backwards and the position of your hand on the knife. Also the difference between a short or long throwing knife
an old ranger unarmed close quarter combat H2'H instructor saw me throwing flat blades and told me to never unarme myself and taught me 4' good stabbing strikes , and he was right
I made a knife, the pommel is sharp and the guard is so long and sharpened on both ends that it all forms a four pointed throwing star but it's much bigger and heavier, I can stand on my back porch and stick it everytime in the shed very far away, I can even lob it and itll stick.
My accuracy isn't good enough are there any tips to improve my accuracy but I do use a small target and I'm using paper kunais because I don't have metal ones are there any tips to improve my aim
The paper kunai is probably too light and doesn't have a consistent flight pattern...but that's just my guess...maybe if you add some weight to it it'll give it more consistent hits?
Is it possible to get precise enough aim to hit a moving target? Men in cars and tweens on scooters keeps sexually harassing me on the street and pulling out a fake gun would probably get me arrested.
Just got some throwing knives... Kunai as well😅😂... Great video, thanks for the beginners tips on throwing... I'd say Bullseye for sure... Definitely an underrated villian.
