K.I.T.T.'s Super Pursuit Mode was added at the start of the show's fourth season. It was the result of a redesign of the car to integrate new concepts consisted of improved rocket boosters for enhanced acceleration, retractable spoilers for aerodynamic stability, and movable air inlets for increased cooling. Super Pursuit provided a increased 40% boost in speed beyond the car's original top speed of 300 MPH. First introduced in Episode 70, "Knight of the Juggernaut, Part II."

Nunca se me olvidoe esta transformacion,el otro boton era el sistema de frenado de emergencia,(copiado de los aviones) lleva unas placas que sobresalen de la carroceria similares a los spoilers de las alas de los aviones
la verdad que el diseño del coche asi,es mas futurista que los que se fabrican hoy dia,los modelos de ahora estan en exceso redondeado y con el diseño demasiado visto

Este sistema se ve mucho más real y creíble que el de una versión nueva que sacaron un par d años atrás. This system looks more real than the newest version they performed a couple of years ago.
All that speed and no brake, 😕 kitt did have a dynamic additional 3 door braking system. Was just as cool to see the car take off flying & then slow down to an almost instant stop in seconds avoiding collisions or crashes. This video was still cool to watch
Kitt was the car of the Future because the EBS brakes now exist something like that , the convertible hardtop roof (cars like BMW, Ferrari 488 spider and more ) and finally the red led lights outside on the wheels ( later featured on Fast and Furious) and on the street races .

I could tell right away that they used special camera effects when KITT was in Super Pursuit Mode, the motion of the camera is around 1.5 times the normal speed to make like KITT is going faster. Besides, if you were driving a car that was going around 200 MPH, you must be galdang sure you do not crash into anything, otherwise they'll be scraping your face and brains off of the dashboard and windshield.
As much as I love the original Knight Rider and Kitt I really don't like the Super Pursuit Mode.Now that I look back on it that made Kitt look freaking ugly.I'll go with attack kick from the Pilot movie or even the show.
Also you haven't checked the 1981 American DeLorean DMC-12. The speedometer have a maximum speed of 85MPH. The engine which I recall was a V6 have only 130HP. The manual transmission have a 5 speed gearbox while the automatic have a 3 speed gearbox. chale ahora q lo veo con ojo crítico adulto, se ven tan chafas los acabados de las piezas q se levantan, si se fijan hasta la pintura negra corrida sobre la gris y la cajuela chacualotea toda dejando ver que es de vil cartón, que decepción de la pruduccion de Glen Larson. Por cierto las escenas de frenado EBS tambien son chidas y nadie las pone.
SPM was great though there were bloopers. Sometimes KITT would exit SPM and you'd still Micheal driving the SPM car. Also, toward the back half of Season 4, you'll see that the Emergency Braking System wasn't used anymore. If KITT needed to slow down, they'd just deactivate the SPM. I presume it was just to save filming time, etc, etc.
