The unspoken mindgames of bluffing what you may have selected or not selected seems like alot of fun and the mind games will only grow in higher ranks when hunters are smarter and may expect skill or attack block, and selecting "stalemate" might actually be interesting
Hunters screaming that this survivor is OP, he hasn’t even been tested in test realm yet and hasn’t even been released. BUT they are saying to stop nerfing goatman and to please “give survivors more time to counter him 🙏🏼”
I think Knight will be the perfect counter to Ripper since his ability is only activated when he attacks, just guess he is attacking every time and you will stun him

i feel like he's good but only when mastered perfectly and only when youve got a good game sense. like not beginner-friendly at all since his kit is all about predicting the hunter. very cool:3
i don't think a lot of people understand the extent of this ability, not only you can negate terror shocks during a chase by predicting a basic attack, you can negate distance from hunters that need it like opera singer and geisha aswell as sealing said ability, chips hunters like bonbon won't be able to use bombs on chase w/out the risk of it being sealed. breaking wheel can't snap if he's far away and if he's close you can't attack if the knight uses his ability properly. this is a character with a lot of skill expression and requieres interaction from both hunter & survivor i think he will be really good
not mentioning that if you guess correctly you get a speed boost and that you can rescue from a distance and when you do that the rescued survivor gets a shield 👁️👄👁️

if somebody has great timing and is smart then Knight will be a great choice for them but for others maybe not. i thought he was gonna be a harasser like Anti but it looks like hes hands off. he literally roleplays and does the thing that everybody hates when like they say “you cant do anything to me now” “i am invincible now”. he literally does that Knight is so weird and funny

I think his potential for mind games and being an absolute menace are going to be hilarious. It's 50/50 for the first instance of the ability, and then the second instance is even funnier because if the Hunter waits, they can still lose and only give him a chip. (I might be incorrect on this), but honestly, he looks very interesting.
The problem that your kiting is you taking risk already. This skill is supose to be more like you put gamble in that risk. The pay off is huge and like 70% of the time you can just use skill and do contaiment action and get away scoot free with no down side and get a speed boost for 8 seconds because they have to attack and if not you can just knee jerk off. Yes it is as insane as it sound. You might say but he must bring borrowtime for rescueand dont have knee jerk. That when the external trait that rescue from range that give the chair sur and you an armor act like tide ( it only one time like tide too ) So yes he is very broken as his skill suppose to be gamble but not really and the external trait allow him to always bring knee jerk
Early stage: this sur can break chair, that sur can use flaslight, that one can dash, that one can be smol and hide Mid-early stage: that sur can tackle hunter, that one can give buff letter, that one can see hunter through wall mid stage: that one can place portal which have some op spot to learn, that one can reverse state and have many trick Mid- late stage: that one can place a catapult that you must learn some spot for best placement, that one can even beat the hunter but you have to time the angle, that one is spiderman but you have to learn many op spot present: ok this one skill litterally hurt my brain. ps: but I still love that knight skill and its actually creative.
His prediction is not gambling, he can see hunter animations and do simillar to seers, plus his cooldown looks like about 20 seconds only! He looks very strong even without real mindgames. Yeah, he will totally be nerfed.

my main issuse with this character is that he's clearly supposed to be an anti-meta character that matches up against top threats, but he completely demolishes low tiers. what is a ripper, who only has attacks, supposed to do against a knight that does attack cancel into stalemate? what is a mad eyes, who heavily relies on his camp, supposed to do when the knight remote rescues from behind his walls? what is a nightmare supposed to do when he has a lock-on but the knight cancels his attack? what is violinist gonna do? i don't know what the answer is, but the gap between hunter tiers feels like it's widening with every new survivor introduced
with his shield-rescue, Knight gives a free tide-turner WTHHHH! only thing is the terrorshock if he is interrupted by the hunter. Knight's ability is like the survivor version of Ann's cats, it's gonna be fun in 2v8
He looks so cool I need him. 😭😭😭 He's so crazy. I feel like his shield will be good during end game or if you rescue after half to buy time especially if you're in a pickle or if you need more time for decoding the last cipher .I think the shield for his teammates will buy time.
Ripper is doomed with this character. His foggy blade comes with his normal hit, so everything he does is gonna be contained by Richard. Buff ripper it is unbelievable

I'm thinking he is gonna be high B-Tier bc he really needs to position himself in a spot where a hunter is forced to do certain actions to get full use out of him. RIP Undead mains. Bro said "no dashing, slamming, or removing energy for you". It's gonna be so easy to predict Undead. He can't use his dash while being looped and has to use his dash for almost every other scenario.

Not sure if I'm mis-reading his abilities but I wonder if, as a hunter, you could choose the action whose punishment would bother you less and just do that action - if he picked that, you got it out and if not, the effect ends because it's the FIRST action? It will definitely lead to interesting mindgames, I think! 11:30 I honestly wish this was a tide rework instead 😔 The game encourages Camping, it's part of the game formula, but Tide Turner feels like a left-over from DBD (where that isn't the case). It just gives survivors free time for the hunter doing the only gameplay that's viable - I would much rather have the game rebalance itself around a tide turner that helps rebounds, and/or helps the rescuer actually rescue. Because that's the part where most games crumble. It's THE rescuer trait, but it doesn't actually help you rescue. Just.... my personal whims though, and unlikely to ever happen. but I like thinking about stuff like this haha~ 12:00 I do wonder if Tide activates through HIS rescue mechanic, because if it DOESN'T - that would be insane! he could go for the first rescue with the skill or normally, and get both a rebound rescue AND a tide-turner-waste-20-seconds-rescue :0 Also it was fun to be there for a recording in the livestream! - I know this is more common with some other gaming creators, and I wonder if stuff like this might happen again (for example maybe teaming up with viewers for character day videos or something of the like? could be fun, but also chaotic and understandable if not much of a "thrill" sdzhjsd-)

He's the ultimate meme character. And I don't mean meme character in the sense that he will be played only ironically, but that there are gonna be so many 4000IQ memes of him. He's gonna be photoshopped into every shounen anime with famous mindgame scenes. Can't wait for him to take a potato chip..... AND EAT IT.
He'll probably get the same treatment for new characters anyway. Though untouchable, they're probably going to give him debuffs. The server data will be considered greatly. Like how Painter was back then, 3 paintings, and the hunters, even not looking at the painting can be stunned as long as their inside the area of effect.
You know what's funny here? His skills are 90% similar to what I have been trying give to my fanmade survivor. The main skill is ofc different he's using a helmet but most of what his skill does is almost the exact same as my survivor. The only thing he's missing is the ability to stun which my survivor has.. well long story short I was creating the next roach. I have been struggling with balancing it tho lol. It's not like my survivor would get added but I still gotta make sure the skills are balanced. And btw the rescue skill for Knight.. while that's not exactly what I had in mind for my survivor, it's still very similar. Mine was more like, the chaired survivor that gets rescued by my survivor shares half damage with the rescued survivor (there were some conditions ofc but I won't go into details). I did scrap that idea to make my survivor more balanced because with the other stuff that I recently gave her... yeah I had to take away something. My plan was a more support heavy character so I didn't really need that one.
I feel like if an Anti main tried to play Knight they would go crazy because with Anti she’s really good with the right timing which seems like something the Knight also needs. (That’s my idea but idk, it’s mostly because I play on Mobile and not much pc which makes hitting the buttons at the wrong time 10x easier 😭)
Whether or not he turns out to be crazy good, I’m predicting he’ll be a character which you need a lot of knowledge of the game for to be effective with. Knowing what the optimal (or just obvious) move for a hunter is in every situation would probably be incredibly important for anyone playing this character. For a person with little game sense it would probably be hell 😭😭 I’m really excited to see how he’s played once he’s been out for a while… his release is definitely gonna be chaos, I think.
He looks very fun. Too sad I wont get to enjoy him cuz all of the ping issues i have ever since the engine update. I have a good pc and great internet conection in other games. But from 130 ping when i get matched on na, it became a 230+ after the engine update.
13:05 looking at the lizard and wax artist clips, his cooldown looks to be about 20-25 seconds. you'd think that since his attack cancel ability is so similar to professor he would have a similar cooldown, but that would make too much sense.
people forget that, while a character’s kit can sound/look op or bad, it also heavily depends on the player. it doesn’t matter how good his kit is if the person playing doesn’t know how to use him. plus, an actual match plays out differently than the showcase video - for all we know, hunters may be able to counter his abilities when playing in matches. it’s too early to say if he’s broken or not, let’s wait until he’s out on test servers and we see how he works in practice because if we go based on showcase videos and descriptions then we’d have no idea what actually works in game or not.
Without translations it really felt like slap to face with how many abilities knight seemed to have. But having it explained like this, it seems like knight to be played by patient players.. you say this meta is like cypher rush and individual kite carry? I feel like very good knight player could waste a lot of time for hunter. It also depends on hunter playstyle, a very impatient one could disrespect knight ability to risk a good attack while a patient hunter acknowledges time lost if attacking haphazardly, like you said it depends a lot if there could be some hunters that can afford to have their skills locked compared to those that can’t.

He seems to have a lot of potential, but achieving that potential will be difficult. He’s very reliant on being able to predict what the hunter is going to do. That wouldn’t be too difficult in the lower to mid tiers, but higher tier hunters will undoubtedly attempt to switch things up to deny any sort of benefit from his abilities.

Definetely the prediction should be given to Faro Lady. Sometimes I imagine if the devs and designers get lost in translation or something like that because this is too much for a coincidence.

Like you said Ithink he’ll be a pretty solid counter against single hit hunters and mainly Opera singer since she can only attack or risk wasting her dash but what I want to know is if that rescue ability can be used through walls cause all it said was at an 8 meter range
