One of the best and most underrated soundtracks ever, the OST in this game sets the tone, Isao Abe does not get the credit he deserves.

Knights In A Strange Land is my favorite track. What's more is that I like the arcade version and the SNES version equally. Each one has a unique flavor.

I think we can all agree that "Decisive Battle at the King's Castle" 22:03 has that magical power, especially at the end 22:48 telling you "We have endured much pain, have lost a lot of comrades, and can barely take anymore damage, before we die... we may be in deep desperation.. but we're this close to the Castle! We have found you Garibaldi, and now with all our last strength, we will put an end to this conflict. For all of our fallen brothers.. and for our families at home awaiting us.."

funfact: Garibaldi is the hero of italian Risorgimento, has nothing to do with middle ages

I remember playing this in an Arcade in Wildwood in the US 90s. At first youre like hey such a cool game, then you LEVEL UP for the first time. And you notice something's changed, but not enough yet. Next thing you know you have full width Excalibur and Arthur in full platemail and youre like this is the best sidescrolling coineater game that was ever made even though it is extremely generic in its form and execution.
