Ty so much for your beautiful pattern I have not knit baby sweaters in years, now that our beautiful family is growing I have great granddaughter twin girls and a new granddaughter coming in September so grandma is busy and thanks to you they will be warm and beautiful 😊 thank you so very much! 🇨🇦
Just a tip for anyone when placing stitch markers, make sure you count your 5 button band stitches into the placement…Otherwise, you’ll end thinking you are 10 stitches short like I did lol 😂 I knew I had the right amount of over overall stitches, but I kept coming up 10 short after placing stitch markers, then I realised that I had started off my first stitch count after the 5 border stitches, not before to include them. 😅🫣 So glad I released my mistake. 🤭 So I thought I would share it here so nobody else makes my mistake. 😊
Another success 👍 I’m a big fan of yours, thank you for your clear and easy to follow instructions, I made 3 sweaters and a dress for my grand daughter, they all turned out perfect, from crochet to knitting ❤Much appreciated ❤
I adore this cardigan and I am on the second sleeve now. We are expecting our first Grandchild in December and I want to knit a Cardigan for him/her. Thank you so much for your wonderful tutorials. I usually crochet and just started to knit again, after many years. You make it so easy to follow your tutorials.
Wonderful! I have a crochet channel too with lots of baby stuff. Here’s the link and thank you for your support ru-vid.com/group/PLiGQpEa3IKJ9ZZmfc6uS3xW0RTgPCCz7r
Thank you so much for illustrating so clearly and making such a beautiful baby cardigan💓Inspires me to make it and prepare in advance for when I’ll be a grandmom! Look forward to seeing some more from you … happy knitting
Thank you for a very well explained tutorial. I bought your little dress pattern and it was a big hit. Now I’m making this little cardigan. Thank you 😊
Such a wonderful tutorial so thank you very much! You've taught be how easy it is to complete the sleeves first then join in the yoke rather than holding the sleeve stitches until the end and completing. I'm well on my way making this lovely pattern 🌺
I have learned to knit through your videos. and have knitted all your cardigans, dresses, trousers and hats. and I'm looking forward to the weekend when I have to knit this nice cardigan. Which goes so well with your dress pattern
Almost finished this sweet little cardigan. I made it is a very pretty blue. The instructions were so easy to follow and I am very excited with how it turned out. I will definitely make another…
Hi! I am trying to make this cardigan but I am relatively new to knitting. I've asked this question but the creator hasn't got back to me. Hoping someone else who has made this cardigan can help. When slipping the stitches on the sleeves, are they slipped knitwise or purlwise? I've been told to do slip stitches purlwise unless the pattern says different but she seems to do them differently depending on the side she is knitting. I don't know if that is just the way her knitting technique looks and they are purlwise both times? Thank you very much for any help!
I love all your knitting pattern videos! They are so easy to understand. I am a beginner and everything I make while following your tutorials looks and feels amazing. Thank you for sharing and greetings from Bulgaria.
With (4) med weight yarn, what is a good size straight needle to do what you're doing on circular? Yes I did include the band stitches in my count. Ty this was a GREAT experience as you give perfect instructions. Ty again God Bless
Hi dear absolutely gorgeous design. I want to make one for me with chest size 34 inches Can you please guide me everything i require as iam the beginner.
Hi! This is a very cute pattern! Just want to check if this can be knitted with one skein of 100g dk yarn? Or would I need more? (I do have a little more than one skein left from another project but I'll need to plan for colour changes if it needs two skeins) Thank you!
Only the ones here in this channel. I have lots that are crochet on my other channel. Here’s the link ru-vid.com/group/PLiGQpEa3IKJ9ZZmfc6uS3xW0RTgPCCz7r&si=eIuSeL_YELOwSpXt
Hi, love this pattern! I do have one small question though. When seaming up the arms, should the crochet hook be bigger than the needle size. I have knit mine using 4.5mm needles. Does that mean I need to use a 5mm hook to seam?
Hi Sara, I would like to make this cardigan with circular needles but I wonder which length to buy (it is totally new to me.....). Could you indicate what length to buy and which brand is best in your opinion. Thanks for your help and as always for all your great tutorials.
Hi! I have chiagoo and love them. Another option is Prym or knitters pride. If you know how to do magic loop I’d recommend 48in or 64in long. With this technique the longer the needles the better.
I'm just finding your way of knitting a little confusing to orient myself. I'm quite new to knitting and I've been told to slip stitches purlwise unless specified otherwise, but you seem to be slipping them differently depending on what side you are knitting. Would really appreciate some more guidance! Thank you.
Hi Dear, your tutorial is totally great for newbie knitter like me :) but let me asking something, so If I want to make cardigan for 3years I need to use 10ply yarn? Is that okay if I combine 2 yarn (5ply and 5ply) since your video is also using 2 yarn ?
Hi! For the sleeve I did 26 + 18 rows + 6 rows for the cuff, but it doesn’t even closely measure 17,5 cms. Is it possible you counted half the rows? I’m so confused 🥲
Felicidades!
Hi! At the beginning of the cardingan and you do the repeat rows, do you knit through the back loop? It looks like when you knit the border you knit through the front and the rest through the back am i correct? Planning on knitting this cardigan but i am beginner so dont want to make any mistakes 🥰
She’s a combination knitter so when she does her purls she wraps in the opposite direction, so on the next row her stitches leading leg of the stitch is mounted to the back of the needle, instead of front of the needle, so when she knits the back loop it puts the stitch into the correct direction. There’s a few different knitting styles. If you just knit and purl as you normally do you will achieve the same cardigan.
Wondeful pattern, but don't you think using smaller needles and same DK will make knitted NB size too stiff and on the contrary using larger needles for Z years old will make it too strechy. And Aran yarn is quite heavy. Why not just change the number of CO stiches ? That is not that difficult. Thanks for maki g that change whenever you have time.
Perhaps you’re right but I’m not a pattern designer expert and don’t know how to do that. 😅 I’ve done this cardigan with the different yarn weights and needle size and they are not stiff nor stretchy because the recommended needle size is still within the recommended range for the yarn weight.
The written pattern for the sleeve has 25 rows (rows 2 & 3, then 4-26 which is 23 rows) but you mention 26 rows. Also row 26 is a purl row, but the next 18 rows repeat rows 2 & 3 which would also start with a purl row. I’m guessing the pattern should read rows 4-27 (24) after rows 2 & 3 ending on a knit row. Maybe I’m missing something ?
The sleeves are correct. I’ve revised this section to make it clearer. See below and contact me via Etsy if you would like a revised version. Row 1: K36 Row 2: Sl, P35, and turn. (36) Row 3: Sl, K35, and turn. (36) Row 4: Sl, P35, and turn. (36) Rows 5-26: Rep rows 3 and 4. Optional: Switch to 2.75mm needles if you want narrower sleeves. Rows 27-44: Rep rows 3 and 4.
Hi, I'm the only one who noticed that it makes you cast 60 stitches and all the time it says... now we have 86 stitches... now we have 86 stitches... please HELP
YES, that was what was so very confusing to me, also! And it would have been good to be provided with a gauge, like "6 stitches to an inch," "7 rows to an inch," to give us some idea if our work was sizing acceptably.
She has a list under the video description for sizing. This pattern is not designed for a 5 year old, it's a baby cardigan so there is no way to resize without creating an entirely new pattern.
Hi! I just added the pattern to my Etsy shop. Here’s the link www.etsy.com/listing/1447325609/digital-pdf-knit-pattern-easy-knit-baby?ref=listings_manager_grid
