Love this! You’ve given us so much to consider when adjusting things to our preferences/fit needs. But the thing that I REALLY need to know is… WHAT ARE YOU WEARING?!?! That top is gorgeous and I need to knit it! 😂
Really interesting video, I couldn't wait to watch it ! I did not understand everything, but I'm also still a relatively beginner knitter. I'm sure in a few months (and with my first sweater finished) I will understand more what you said. so far I have crocheted 2 sweaters and I had to lengthen the body for both, but they had no shaping so it was easy. I also had to modify the sleeve because I guess I have bigger arms than the pattern is made for, so I had to increase faster. I kinda winged it, but made sure to do the same on both sleeves. (hopefully my English is not too bad here)
Fantastic content! I'm very pear-shaped (flat chest after mastectomy and a belly), so shaping around my stomach is something I'm trying on my current project. I think I'll try vertical darts. This video is well-timed because I've just gotten to the point where I have to make some adjustments to the pattern. Thank you for sharing your resources!
Thank you for this video. Like you I don't like high things on my neck. I've found a few tops I've wanted to knit but make them v-neck instead of round or crew & have thought there has got to be a way to do it & have been told several times its going to be to hard for you. Just find another top you like with a v-neck instead. Even though these people that have told me this have done it themselves. It's so frustrating
It's not the easiest fix but it's certainly possible! I forgot to address the neckline width in the video - it's a little more difficult to adjust (because you are also changing how many stitches you have in the shoulders). But it's definitely possible to adjust the front neckline shape!
