Super helpful! My arthritis is forcing me to create using machines instead of just my hands. I also really appreciate your comment to remind people about being nice. ❤
You did it again!!! YOU are the BEST machine knitter and explainer online!!!!!!! I was ready to throw my machine out in the streets, but after seeing your tutorial I am back at it again!!!!
Awww thank you. You’re comment has made my day. I hate my machine sometimes too. It nearly went out the window when I was making last months video, but I wear that cabled hat every day now so I guess it was worth the tantrums 😂
@@emilysmith2784 You have a Special TALENT. victoriaressler3547 said it best.... you are a "3 D Thinker." Thanks for sharing and being there!!!!!!! Anne Strang from Somerset Pennsylvania
So glad i gound this video i got my sentro yesterday and was wondering about smaller size tubes and how to do them as ive no space for the smaller machines thank u x
I have RA and just cant complete large projects so the machine option is an excellent stash buster or gift maker on the fly. I do think my hand knitting looks more high end but for cute quick stuff this is great! Also I want to make patches for large afgans with this and put it as a quilt backing as an experiment. 😍
Ahhh!!! I’ve considered getting a smaller size knitting machine, but I really don’t want something else to keep track of. Thanks SO much for the video!!! So so helpful. I am not a natural 3D thinker, so there’s NO way I’d come up with this on my own. Thanks again, Emily! BTW, I can’t place your accent. Where are you from?
I’m glad you liked the video. I almost bought the new 32 needle machine but I really have no where to store it and figured others might be in the situation 😊. I am from North East England.
@@emilysmith2784 I did it for a long small tube and it saved me crocheting up 9 very long chains. It worked very well and it's much more even than I would've been able to do without. The chains either side were slightly looser (in places) than the rest, but with some pulling it sorted out and next time I might work on neatening up the edge chains more before I start/ as I go
@@emilysmith2784 it's great to hear it's not just me! It is a small bother, but I've decided I'll take a couple loose chains in exchange for the machine doing the bulk of my work really nicely for me
I can’t seem to find the video I watched as I came across it during a rabbit hole search 😂. This one explains the concept ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y7BYVBdBgnk.html. If you get it to work please come back and share your wisdom. It would be awesome if it worked and I have no doubt it’s my fault it didn’t work 😆
Super good ideas!! Thanks for this!🌸 instant subscribe ❤️ Could you pretty please try to make a graphgan on the machine with 3 or morecolors? I have tried quite some, but there will always seem to be gaps inbetween color swaps
I’d never heard of a graphgan before. After a quick trip to Google it looks like intarsia knitting, I have done intarsia by hand before and I did get some gaps between colours. I will be experimenting with colourwork this year, although mostly fairisle as that’s more my style but that does involve colour change so will hopefully help in your project too. I have seen a pumpkin face sweater I might make near Halloween time if you can wait that long 😊
Oh deaf I think I need one of these o machines they look so fun Did you do the cables on the beanie using the machine ? Can you knit squares / columns for blankets? Can you do decrease etc
You can do mock cables or afterthought cables. Yes you can knit squares and do decreases. I have videos on how to do all those things. 😊 It’s an awesome machine.
Not off the top of my head. To find out you could always cast on 22 needles, and knit a few rows, marking the ends with a pen. Then when you unravel it you can use the pen marks as a gauge to cast on a tube. I hope that makes sense. Next time I have my machine out I’ll try and work it out for you.
