Happy New Year everyone! I’m so excited for all the fun ideas I have to share for 2024. Sorry this took so long! I wanted to ask two questions! (i’ll be asking on my community tab as well) (1) I want to work on other art mediums but I’m just not sure if I should keep the new art mediums on my 2nd channel (@mijanouu) or if you’d be okay with me doing it on this channel. I was thinking this could be my art channel overall instead of strictly knit & crochet (just in case my hands need a health break) but let me know what you think! --- Would you prefer this be strictly knit/crochet/sewing & do everything else on a separate channel --- Anything is okay on this one (2) Are there any concepts/videos you’d want me to try/make more of? (:
this entire video was just such good vibes, and I love the segment when your boyfriend just popped in out of nowhere, i actually burst out laughing omg- and i love how the sweater turned out!! i kinda wanna learn how to knit just to make it lmao-
OML I love your videos and aesthetic! I got into crocheting and knitting partly because of you and was inspired to crochet a cardigan!! Thx so much for the inspo :D
i've first seen your channel in a knit with me vlog(?)/video where you just knit/crochet an hour silently and honestly i would looove to see these types of videos more because i mostly watch your videos while i crochet myself so it feels like we're friends doing stuff together and i find it very cute and comfy!! already loving your video formats but if you need an idea to create more content pleeaase make more videos like that because i need videos to keep me company while i do my stuff >>.
As a new knitter (started a month ago), I've knitted 4 socks now. That was the point of learning to knit for me was socks bc I love colorful unique socks.
Happy new year to my favorite crochet and knit youtuber! I remember starting to crochet and 2 years ago I was recommended your channel by a substitute teacher in my English class and I finally started crocheting last year in February 22nd! You and your content have heavily inspired me and I appreciate all the content you create! You're so talented and creative and such a good person so I just wanted to say thank you, from one crocheter to another
Hello young lady, Another inspiring video. I’m 66 years old & you inspire me. Loved everything you talked about especially the reading part of it. I used to read all the times but for some reason I haven’t been able to get back into it. Now u have inspired me to give the reading another chance, also, start working on some of the designs that are floating in my head & see if I-can accomplish something. I learned how to knit when I was 7 y old but for some reason I find my self crocheting more then knitting. Happy new year. Look forward to your new blog/video ❤ Tina
i almost screamed when you go six crimson cranes i just got the second book and i looove the author, especially her other series, Spin the Dawn. Hope you had an amazing holiday season and an even better new year!!
3:50 omg I was also thinking of doing a tapestry crochet project with this same exact graph but as a laptop sleeve !! I looove the idea of it being on a scarf ❤❤
i just started the video but I think it's so funny that you are learning to knit socks because they scare you. while I am actively knitting a bunch socks in a way to avoid trying to learn a sweater because they scare me because of how big they are 😭 just goes to show to each their own. i love it!
omg I also just bought yarn to makesocks I have been wanting to try and finally figured that this is the year. Finally the yarn was on sale as well cause its always 8.75 but today when I went it was 5 and its this really pretty blue gradient and then I will try and do colorwork socks I feel that might be too complcated seeing the designs but gonna give it a go so happy I guessed the first song
22:08 i def get the feeling of hating the finished piece at first then loving it over time. a lot of time i get done with a piece and all the work i put into it clouds my judgement. i just see all the painful parts i didnt like process wise and dont want to look at it for a while. but after i go back to it i go "wow this is actually really cool. im so glad i made this"
Girl beloved is sooo good and i have babel on hold at my library so i hope to read it after the mortal instruments lol! Also love your knitting and crocheting videos, i’m a crocheter but i’m debating on getting into knitting!
I loved the sweater! It turned out so cute 🥰 I did one intarsia for a top I'm making and I can only imagine how much work it takes to make that many stars. I love that you always fun and cute things, most knitting channels I know have a more "basic" style, and I love to watch yours and see all the different things that you do and get some ideas
Kudos to you for making the sweater instead of buying it! It turned out lovely :) Have you thought of knitting your garments seamlessly in the round? It’s a lot less fuss and you can try your garments on as you go, avoiding potential fit issues. You could do top-down, bottom-up, raglan, drop shoulder, saddle shoulder… The options are endless! 😊I also hope you’ll enjoy knitting socks, it’s one of my favourite things ever!
Omg I bought myself the same needle set in the colour driftwood, I LOVE wooden needles and the Lykke sets are truly beautifully made. I hope you love using them!!❤
Mexican Gothic is one of my absolute favorites!! And I haven't finished Babel yet but it definitely delivers on the hype so far. RF Kuang has such a great style. Another writer I've enjoyed that also does fiction beautifully is Isabel Ibañez if you haven't had a chance to try one of her books yet, and also T. Kingfisher!
I really enjoy your videos and project ideas. Watching you knit in previous videos made me want to try to learn again, so I finally got needles and taught myself how over the last week. I just finished my first project yesterday, which was a beanie for my nine month old. Now I’m debating if I want to try a sweater like this or not 😅
I literally watch you every day while crochet/knitting and I just realized I'm not even subscribed to you lol, you're literally my favourite cozy youtuber and I can't wait to see more! Your work is amazing 🥰
I think you might be locking your floats wrong. Kristin Lehrer here on RU-vid has a good tutorial from 6 years ago that shows how to easily lock floats and it won’t hurt your fingers. Also I had the same issue with weaving in ends on stockinette stitch and I found weaving in diagonally through the wrong side purl stitches was best and leaving about a 1cm (nearly half inch) end poking out from the wrong side helped keep them in place. Also unravel the end so it can’t slip out. Keep on your awesome fibre art crafting! ❤
You could post a podcast every week where you speak about what are you currently knitting on, what are the struggles, what is the progress.... You have such a pleasant voice I am sure people would listen for hours! Wait you have a second channel?
I learned to knit watching Crazy Sock Lady here on RU-vid. I find using circulars is a lot easier, you just have to split the cast on stitches for the socks and you don’t need three needles.
This video was one of my favs :) love love. Also you’re gonna love sock making! I use magic loop instead of dpns but I bet you’ll still love the process!
Please please please more Vlogs and talking Videos!!!! You are such an inspiration for me and I can learn so much from you, because we are such same personality types❤ Love your Content so much❤
You've been a really big inspiration for me ever since a first saw your channel, tysm!! I only crochet but I think knitting looks so good!! Do you have any tips for ABSOLUTE begginers?
i would say DEFINITELY take your time and don’t rush the process. Instead of comparing your projects to other peoples, use theirs as inspiration to motivate yourself to learn and practice more! it takes a lot of time and mistakes to learn this craft but it’s worth it so also don’t give up even when it gets incredibly frustrating. you got this 💪🏽
i love your videos! keep creating and i hope you realise that although lots of content is good, people also just appreciate you doing what you want and at your pace
i think that your version of the sweater turned out a lot cuter than the original! im really not a fan of the collar on the og one. on the other note, babel is an amazing book, i love the main concept so much, hope youll enjoy reading it!
Seeing you talk about your cable knit sweater while wearing a cmiygl hoodie reminded me of the cable knit sweater that tyler wears in the wharf talk music video and im thinking about making it. Anyways love your videos ❤
The way people keep so many videos coming is often because they pre-recorded some so u have the project from last week come out this week while u work on the next ❤ but u can always do more than one video back
so many sweet moments in this video (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡ and the sweater turned out so cute! i'm planning on starting my first colorwork knit sweater soon and im a lil nervous but this was definitely inspiring :)
i really recommend murakami's book "sputnik sweetheart,' its a shorter and easier to digest book compared to his other works and may be more enjoyable for you! :)
I started knitting mittens and socks with double pointed needles when I first started out. Sweaters are scary! There's just too many masks and I loose count all the time :,)
I also recently discovered the heart cable knit from Studio Knit! I’ve been wanting to knit it into a scarf as well but your Mikasa inspired me to make my own little changes 🥹!! I can’t wait to see how yours comes out! I also wanna get into reading. Do you have any recommendations for mystery books?
I just started watching attack on titan and thought about how cool it would be to make mikasa’s scarf, so looking forward to it if you end up making it!!
I think I picked up Wild Sheep Chase ages ago and I still haven't finished it, only Murakami book I've left unfinished - no idea why I've had trouble with it! Other than just not being able to focus as well on reading anymore
my english teacher gave the book to me in 2015 and i’m just now finishing it - i can’t figure out why i’ve had trouble with it either even after finally finishing it.
hey I have a question about following a chart, say for example you're knitting a square with a different yarn than your main color, the way I do it, the sides end up detached form the main color and I dont know how I should fix that problem, it'd be great if you could help😊
