This video is to demonstrate the Magic Loop method of knitting and give a few tips for how to avoid getting ladders in your work. You can buy me a coffee at ko-fi.com/most...
Thank you! I’m knitting a sweater for my future niece and the magic loop got the sleeves done super easily! Great tutorial, super clear and easy to follow 😁
You did a great job explaining magic loop!! I’m doing my first sweater and have been very nervous about finishing off my sleepers using magic loop. Not anymore!! Thank you for the clear instructions!!
Thanks so very much. I’m just learning the magic loop and your explanation really made sense for me. Your camera work is excellent. Thanks for sharing your talent.
Thank you for showing how to do the magic loop, I have tried to do it but have never been successful at it and just change to double pointed. Think one of my major issues, is that the cables on my needles are not as flexible as needed. Great video!
I think that makes a big difference as if the cable is too rigid, it is hard to keep it close to the other needle when you start the next half of the round. I think the nicest cable to work with for magic loop is actually the Hiya Hiya brand and then I like the Chiaogoo and the Knit Pro equally as far as the cable goes (but the join where the cable meets the needle is better on the Chiaogoo).
Thank you so much. That is a lovely comment. I would love to do a video on this but I would probably have to write up a pattern first as I couldn't do a video tutorial on this using someone else's pattern unless I had their permission first. So it may be a little while before I could do a video on it.
Thank you so much. The yarn is Madelinetosh Sport in the Winter Wheat colorway. The contrast colour is also Madelinetosh but it is the Pashmina base and the colorway is Ink.
@@mostlyknitting thank you for your reply. I love your tutorials you have such beautiful neat work, so much nicer than store bought. I can see that all your garments are made with love ❤️
The needles in the video are Chiagoo needles. The other needles I really like working with are Hiya Hiya brand. I have also used Knit Pro needles and they are quite good as well. Hopefully you can find a kind you like readily available. There are a number of online retailers but if you have a local yarn store that sells them, that is even better as you get them straight away and you can feel the cable and see if you like it.
