This knitting tutorial demonstrates how I like to manage my edges when adding in a new color, and continuing to use more than one color when the edge of my project has an I-cord. Enjoy!
Andrea, what great timing for this tutorial. I am knitting the What Tomorrow Brings shawl by Stephanie Lotven of Tellybeanknit. It is a 25 color sampler style shawl with an I-cord on both sides. This will make my color changes look much better. Thank you.
Andrea, how do you handle the new color when you get to the end of that first row if you have another i-cord on that side of the project? I am knitting the DRK Everyday cowl, and I’m striping where there are i-cords on *both* edges of the project (the diagonal edge where the right side rows start, and the neckline, where they end), and I want to avoid having the striping on that left-side i-cord be off a row from the striping in the body of the cowl, if possible. Thanks for any suggestions! 😊
Nevermind! I just found the answer in another video of yours: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nWvb5iqBzwE.htmlsi=uhH64MWHvjXzSFxG LOL! Please disregard. 😉
