I never really knew much about AOC, except that the right hate her. Now I see why. She's relentless, ambitious, and extremely smart. She's the rights greatest fear, and now I like her more than ever.

When AOC was speaking about her father's death, I felt her pain squeezing my heart. I was in my early 30's when my parents died, and it was devastating..

“And it’s time for ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Let’s raise some hell and take our lives back.” I got chills, she is beyond amazing

My cousin is a young single mother. Because of AOC, she is running for a council seat on the Indian Reserve she lives on. This is inspiration. This is how people change the world. Hooray!

can we just recognize that Netflix gave a whole documentary for free bc how important this election is

I come back to watch this documentary once in a while. I'm not even from the US, but these people, these women, they inspire me to be brave and be the change for my country like they are for theirs.

I just love how Netflix just put all this documentaries out and let people be educated in current affairs, and also not turning off the comments of the videos too, it's really nice reading all the supportive comments on the documentaries.

She did make her dad proud.

This woman was passing out flyers on the street, and being ignored and rejected. Now, she's one of the most powerful women in the country. Very inspiring!

I watch the last 15 minutes of this documentary at least once a month. AOC is such an inspiration. Incredible woman. I'm in awe.

Cori Bush won after running a second time against the same long-term incumbent. It was a longer road, but she did it! First Black Congresswoman in her state of Missouri. There was a quote in here somewhere, where she talked about realizing that WE can change this for us. It felt so empowering. I have SO MUCH RESPECT for these four women and the unsung heroes behind them - whether they won or not. I saw AOC's speech after Congress broke for Thanksgiving holiday without a stimulus package and her frustration and sadness. With every win it seems there is a loss and with every loss there is a win. Trump lost, but Biden has a lot of damage to undo and every race in Congress is meaningful, not to mention holding Biden accountable. It's going to be like this for a long time, this uphill battle. But I can feel right now that America is capable of change, however bleak it looks at times. But this is not about left and right, this is about getting people in who actually care deeply about the people they will represent and who have the integrity to fight for those people and not sell them out to enrich their career or pockets. And the group in the beginning who started all this in motion - wow. I am seriously inspired. Not enough to run for Congress lol, but hoping this inspires a thousand working-class campaigns. And Bernie - you are the father of the movement. Thank you for holding a candle of hope with an alternative perspective that everyone ignored for decades. That is a lonely place to be in, but you embody dedication. This documentary made me feel proud to be American again. I have no doubt that one day West Virginia will finally receive what was taken from them - health, education, dignity. Talk about a forgotten land. I am holding the highest intention for their upliftment. No longer are we going to sit in shame for wanting a change and being told that is naive. It's not my friends. It's time.

When Amy said "This [phone] is a commodity. My daughter's life wasn't." it sounded familiar and I just remembered that AOC used it in a speech (I think it was about the enormous price of insulin). It's incredible how these women draw power and strength from each other and I'm so glad I'm alive to see it.

I truly felt identified and teared up watching AOC's path to congress. She truly deserves this and I'm so proud to see a strong Latina woman take on those in power.

I know I’m years late but I’m willing to vote for all 4 of these women. They are passionate and willing to fight for the people. Like remembering specific strangers and their struggles, this show that they all cares

I've seen this so many times, and yet it never gets old... I'm so proud of the working class labor movement sweeping the country this year. 🙌🏽💪🏽

Alex's whole story had me SOBBING. (Especially the ending, when she was talking about her father. That made me a wreck.) I don't think I've ever loved and admired another human being more than I do her. Between watching her adorable reactions to people on the streets praising her, and the way she listens to and wants the best for her people, I have come to look up to her so much. I honestly wish I could be best friends with her. Some of my favorite scenes were the moments right before the polls closed when she was nervous about the outcome, and when she was telling security "that's me on the screen!" so she could get into the bar. Not to mention, MAD chills when her face popped up on the screen and everyone started screaming. At that moment, my heart was bursting. Part of the reason why I love Alex so much is because I see her in me. She makes me feel empowered, like I can accomplish anything. And for that, I owe her everything. Alex, by the slim chance that you're reading this, I love you. Keep fighting for what's right, I've always got your back, girl.

The most memorable scene to me is when AOC compares her pamphlet with that of her rival. And when she has to convince security to let her enter her own election party.

I would like to see Amy Vilela run again. She had a strong platform and NO ONE in AMERICA should die because of lack of Health Insurance. NO ONE!! Also don't miss out on Katie Porter she's a beast in congress.

I'm not even American, I knew she was going to win, but when Alexandria came up as the primary winner I was nearly in tears. That's somebody who's going to make change, i can feel her passion, and her energy, I believe she's going to hold to her word and make change, and she's shown it already.

when she is having her monologue with the lines "why do you think you can do this." "The reason why is because nobody else would...so literally anybody could, right? because the alternative is no one." hit me hard. It's kinda like saying, well someone has to do it as a motivation.... kinda is disappointing in a way that is real though that somebody has to do it because others won't.

Can we all take a moment and appreciate AOC's boyfriend. The dude was so supportive.

True story. I used to go to flat fix where AOC worked and she used to tell my friends and I that she was running for Congress and we thought she was BSing us. She was super nice and very intelligent but we still doubted her. A lesson I have learned from this. A) don’t judge someone cause of their job or position. B) don’t let anyone tell you can’t achieve what you want in life.

AOC is such a kind and smart woman. Very upright, she is a great person. Of course I don’t know her in real life and often your “face” on camera and around others is different, but I can see her genuine smile some times and how she tries her hardest to be kind to other people.

Bernie Sanders will go down as a cult icon in politics who was way ahead of his time. I hope AOC runs for president someday. She is a force to be reckon with.

As a teenage activist and current Gen Z, all of these powerful independent women are such inspirational people. I can’t wait until my generation is able to vote and change the world. I’m only 16, already itching to vote for any of these beautiful women if they ever run for presidency.

I cried a lot watching this documentary because for so long I gave up on our government, but AOC gives me so much hope that things can really change for us people. She's such an inspiration.

I don't know why; I can't put my finger on it... but something feels like Joe Crowley was genuinely pleased when he debated AOC. I watched the whole national debate live. Even he couldn't resist her conviction, passion and debate skills. Maybe he was just ready to be done with the job and was happy to see someone competent take him on. Maybe it was both. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Sure there’s times where all politicians get there facts wrong, getting fact checked is the right thing to do regardless if you’re left or right party... but you cannot tell me for one second AOC doesn’t follow a moral compass. Regardless of her political platform, she uses her platform to stand for minorities and she’s so young. Her ambition in equality is empowering.

The transition from AOC doing her politics and then going straight to the bar to work is so powerful, with out even thinking i've totally forgotten that everyday ordinary people can just work their way into politics. it's not just given theres a chance.

As a Non American from Europe, i got so interested in AOC and the more i learned about her the more i was captivated by her passion by her energy by her honesty. And while many are too quick to point out her flaws, there is no one who is impeccable but she does it for the right reasons and THATS WHY i got so emotional watching this. I love AOC

56:03 Wow. I am 19 and I had the exact same thing as Amy Vilela's daughter, a blood clot in my vein, a few months ago. But because I live in Germany, I went to the emergency center the evening it happened, had all possible tests done: blood test, ultra sonic, x ray, etc. Got presciption to medication immediately and got made a plan of what i should do and which doctors I should meet next. It got all done IMMEDIATELY and without a single thought spent on financing. In Germany, we dont need to worry about financing because our insurance covers nearly all of it, the only thing in the foreground is curing our issue. Even jobless and homeless people are ensured to have health insurance. And all the examinations and the medication were nearly FREE for me. Because I live in Germany I am cured a few months later and because she lived in the U.S. she is now dead. 😶 And the USA have the audacity to call themselves land of the free, in what way do they ensure more opportunities/freedom/human rights to people?

I was literally shedding tears when AOC won while watching this video. I'm from a small town in NC..mostly conservative...and her passion for people, her community is what congressmen and congresswomen should be about. Thank you AOC..thank you for your courage to stand up for the people, not only for your district, but for us all. You give me hope that voting does matter and we can change the world. From only watching short videos of AOC, I never really understood who she was or what she stood for but was intrigued by her energy as she spoke. This documentary made me cry my eyes out when watching her journey to change. Seeing how motivated she was I understand why she came out victorious and will continue to do so in the future. So happy that she got what she truly deserves! Very inspiring! GO AOC!

I'm Canadian and just found out who she was a couple of weeks ago, when she called out Congressmen Yoho and was instantly proud of a stranger, having watched a couple of clips of her speaking out, I had seen the trailer for this, so it was really great to see her journey not knowing anything about her other than she's one badass woman, who I admire and am inspired by, she gives me hope and really lets me know there are good people out there fighting the good fight, keep it up AOC!

Just watched it on Netflix, & it was absolutely amazing!

It breaks my heart that only one of the incredible people we followed made it. But it's like AOC said, "For one of us to succeed, a hundred of us have to try." 😢

I'm 61 years old.. retire with a pension.. that I can actually live on.. vote all these old scabs out of politics.. bring in this new blood these new ideas... these old politicians these old dinosaurs get him out of office before it's too late they've been in for years and have done nothing....

The bar scene still makes me tear. When there is hope there is resilience! Keep fighting the good fight America!

I cried when AOC found out she had won, running into the bar not being allowed in until the security guards realising it was her and then seeing the fact that she won with 82%. As a woman who has always had a power struggle with men I cried because it gave me hope for human decency and the ability to change.

So impressed! Amazing group fighting for change. Amazing, concerned and dedicated group of challengers. I’ve dual citizenship and have lived in Canada for 50+ years. I’ve looked south for many years and these grassroots hero’s will finally make a difference for the average American. Change is good. It’s time to thrive.
