I have to question why they'd even give the option to choose cute animals as characters if they didn't even bother to make 3D models of them actually bowling.
I was wondering the same thing honestly. I was thinking of other games that do similar things, and they're usually just a generic array of items or symbols but they really made different animals, made them the mascots, and then modeled...none? Very strange choice...
I think it actually kinda works the other way around. There was never intent to make models of characters actually bowling, which is WHY they made a bunch of cute animals, because they could make as many icons as they want knowing that they wouldn't have to model them.
I can’t wait for google image results for “tiny sex otter” to include hundreds of pictures of furry porn and then one headshot of Danny 3 rows down because of this episode
Arin: how did you go from being frustratedly angry at this to a god damn savant Dan: that’s the secret Arin. I’m always angry Arin: Dan: *turns into jew hulk*
Слава It’s because of Hanna and Allie, I just know it! I don’t know if you watch streams, but in one of them Hanna and Allie were trying to find the perfect classification for Dan, and the comments agreed that Dan was an otter. Dan didn’t know what that meant, so Allie agreed that she would explain the different concepts to Dan later.
I invite you, three years later, to watch their video of the worst game on Switch, Vroom in the Night Sky. Straight shovelware 🤣 unless you’ve already seen it. In which case carry on!
"And then this is how you play" Arin Mashes through it. Danny struggles for a minute not knowing what to do till Arin vaguely helps him. Classic Game Grumps.
I love how Arins like, "nooo Dan! It's fun, have fun!" and Dans like "I'm not winning, so this game sucks" :P IDK when he decided to lean into the sore loser bit, but ever since he started really playing it up, it's made for some killer moments. Monopoly comes to mind.
Aron's score vs Danny's score in the start of this is like the reverse when they're playing any other sports game with weird scoring rules... like Football.
"I assume we'll figure it out as it goes." ~ Arin The entire basis of Game Grumps is pretty much not figuring things out as it goes, but I love the optimism.
Arin, there's not two sets of triggers. you can call them "bumpers" and "triggers" or you can just call them what the game calls them, and say "L/R" and "ZL/ZR" to avoid confusion, but you can't say "the other triggers" when L and R aren't even remotely trigger shaped.
"Wait, there's a limited number of balls I have to throw? If only there was some giant indicator in the upper left corner of the screen that told me how many balls I had left."
I love how on every verses episode, Arin has to stop and explain the controls to Dan. I think it might have something to do with Jon not explaining nicoldon slat to him.
