More info: Igor Presnyakov studied classical music at a nearby academy and would eventually graduate as both a guitarist and a conductor for ensembles. His unique acoustic guitar-style is influenced by various musical genres from Reggae, Rock and Roll, R&B, Country-western, Jazz and Heavy Metal. Igor also rarely sings any of the lyrics to any kind of song that he covers, and instead skillfully translates them into a guitar melody, having his instrument sing the words.

The thing I like about this guy is that he isn't just an ordinary fingerstyle guitarist. He actually feels the guitar and can really give us a variety of sounds with using all sorts of techniques.(and he can sing :))

Before watching this video (or any Igor`s video for that matter), imagine the days when Guitar was only invented, and imagine first people playing it, I mean simple things, and still people were amazed how beautiful that sounded. And then Igor walks into the scene, takes the guitar (all those people from 16 century are watching) and starts to play that... We`ve come along way, people are so awesome in what they do nowadays. I`m happy living among these people, and have opportunity to see and hear what the can do..

Love Igor's stuff, extremely talented artist! But I gotta say! haha I've seen guitar players making some faces but Igor "looks" like hes REALLY straining in his face when he plays. Some would say oh shut up he is into his music. I think there is a time and a place for the "taking the dump face" maybe in a solo where you are sustaining a note or something and throwing the act on. That's my only negative I have about the guy, I normally "listen" to his stuff, rather than watch it but when I do, it's like MAN stop with the faces, you don't have to do that lol.

Last time i saw a guitarist use the instrument for the rhythm too was Keith Christmas at the St Martins in the Field Crypt 1970 ! your masterly playing is inspirational have actually picked mine up again after 30 years.....
