That's not a ghost town. China is vast, spanning thousands of kilometers from east to west, but the entire country uses the time zone of Beijing. Therefore, Tibet is two to three hours behind Beijing. Although the time is 8:30 in the morning, it is equivalent to 5 or 6 o'clock, so people haven't gotten up yet. It's normal for the streets to be empty.
A group of people who say Tibet is their motherland have never thought that your supreme leader, the 14th Dalai Lama, has deceived you. Leaving China for India was your parents' choice. Decades ago, Chinese leaders went to India to ask you to return to China, but your parents didn't want to go back. Now that China's Tibet economy is good, you want to come back. But most of those who smear China's Tibet on RU-vid are Tibetans living abroad. You are very contradictory. On the one hand, you smear Tibet, and on the other hand, you want to return to Tibet. Isn't the best solution to talk to Xi Jinping calmly? And not in a radical anti-China way. This is beneficial to both sides. You shout for a free Tibet, but the people of China's Tibet shout that Tibet is free. They are not like you. They think that life now is much happier than the life of serfs decades ago. In addition, the Han and Tibetan people have been friendly since ancient times. You should read more books on the history of China and Tibet, instead of ignorantly talking nonsense about ideology and history on the Internet.
I can't tell if you are misinformed and naively believing in the state propaganda or a troll spreading propaganda. Because you shamelessly smear us tibetans whose lands your government has taken and used it as a cash cow for lithium ion batteries, gold reserves, copper alloys, uranium, etc. And built a manufacturing base out of that. No chinese leader came to india to talk to the tibetan people, they don't have the guts or the sense of guilt/accountability or compassion/humanity just like you. Tibetans have always wanted to go back home, many did not even take citizenship offered by india and nepal because they believed they are citizens of tibet and they were going back. This caused many to not be able to buy land or find legal employment but this will still persisted for a long time among many tibetans. Until only recently we realized there needs to be a different approach because without citizenship one cannot freely advocate for freedom and liberty for tibet. Many tibetans in exile do not say tibet is our motherland, we say it is our fatherland because many of us were not born there, but a part in each of us belong there. HHS the 14th Dalai Lama was rescued by the tibetan guerrilla fighters comprising of eastern tibetans before the arrival of "cultural revolution" in central tibet. Because some parts of eastern tibet in the chinese maps are shown inside sichuan, yunnan, gansu, and the qing-hai (amdo) provinces they faced the full wrath of cultural revolution that was happening in china i.e destruction of their temples, way of life, societal structure, etc. It was an invasion because they were not chinese and was destroying everything they loved and hold dear. And it was not stopping there but spreading further west into the rest of the tibetan plateau. Because of rivers flowing from tibet goes to china (yangtse and yellow rivers) and tibet is at a higher elevation (strategically important area), plus minerals and resources like gold, lithium, copper, etc, mao and his cadres decided to invade all of tibet for the survival of the ccp and his legacy, and justified it by magnifying the propaganda like the communists always do (Marx himself encourages to use propaganda as a tool). And you still believe that 95% of tibetans were serfs lol. If you are really being honest with yourself you would know that what chinese did was wrong just like what japanese did to nanking was wrong, chinese massacred a lot of innocent people in tibet who were minding their own business for land and resources. If you still really believe in the state propaganda then why don't you let tibet be free and govern themselves, now that you guys "liberated" it. Then many of us will gladly return. Instead of sinicizing and brainwashing our children in chinese boarding schools. Shameless b*tch.
Before writing a paragraph, just so you know over a million Tibetan were in during 1959 invasion. I would humbly request you do voluntary research and not just believe the propaganda served by CCP who don't even let RU-vid accessible without a VPN.
been there 20 years ago, it shocked me quite a bit because I always thought Potala Palace is some kind of ancient ruin stands alone in the wild, I was shocked when i found out it is located in the middle of a city. China was still poor 20 years ago, and Tibet was even poorer, everywhere our bus stops, there were sea of hawkers surrounding our bus trying to sell their stuffs, and the Tibetan will sell ANYTHING, I remember I saw a cute puppy outside a coffe shop or something, I played with the dog for a while and the owner told me i can just buy it, well, no thanks. It was a time the whole of China was craving for money, chaotic, dirty, dangerous, I still remember the atmosphere after 20 years. I last visited China in 2019, I was shocked again because that's not the China i remember

Tibet has a population of 3.66 million but a land area of 1.12 million square kilometers. It is sparsely populated and it is normal to see no people on the streets of a town. But if you can see cars parked everywhere on the roadside, you will know that this is not what you call a "ghost town". When cycling in Tibet, you will often see such small towns everywhere.
even according to Dalai's own biography , the communists did not force him to go. But he was forced to escape, almost hijacked by the elites to go, for his own safety they said.
0:17 This is a small remote village with very few population on Tibetan Plateau where you simply cannot apply ‘rush hours’ like in other places or in big cities😂. The locals are either herdsmen or work seasonal tourism related jobs and there are no rush hours for them. Those building are for tourism while the current season is not the high season in this area, which is why it’s not busy.

Thank you for this video. Those wheels are called prayer wheel. It contains a mantra, which is a sacred syllable or verse. We turn it to accumulate merit, to help all beings in the world and to purify their karma. I pray for your safety now.
Hey Bro, Potala Palace is not beautiful but MAJESTIC having thousands of years of history. It is not just an ordinary palace but something much more than that. And yes, its not a normal dance performed by lay people but a holy and religious dance performed by monks only.
The swinging stick is called " PRAYER WHEEL aka Mani wheels " “Mani” appears in the sacred mantra “Om Mani Padme Hum” which is crafted on the outside the prayer wheel and inside a tightly wound roll of printed mantras. The large prayer wheels can be found in stupas and monasteries, contains 100,000,000 OM MANI PADME HUM mantras and nearly 400,000 are included in the smaller prayer wheels which embodies the essence of compassion, wisdom, and enlightenment (sacred spells associated with particular deities) Each rotation of the prayer wheel is believed to flourish and amplify the mantras written on the wheel into the universe. The effect of this action is to benefit all sentient beings and help purify negative emotions ( the root of suffering ).
It seems that under the rule of the Dalai Lama, Tibet has human rights and freedom. The truth is that 97% of Tibetans are slaves, the kind of slaves in the slave society in the history of human development; In Tibet under the rule of the Dalai Lama, a very common scene is: a slave owner wakes up in the morning and finds that he has not drunk hot milk tea in time, so he angrily executes the three female slaves who are responsible for making milk tea for him in his own yard! Yes, you heard it right, three female slaves were executed immediately, and what is even more shocking is that this happened in 1956, the year before the Dalai Lama escaped! Stop bragging about the Dalai Lama. At least, he was not a good person before 1957.
Thanks Bro for showing us our own country which we have never seen in real since we were forcefully pushed out of our country in the year 59 by CCP… Happy that you even dare to speak about Dalai Lama in Tibet 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Not force fully u people leave by ur own will because u are a serf owners 7 million Tibetans live in china only a handful of separatist live in India and other countries u are not welcome in our Tibet part of china
If you don't follow this monk Dalai Lama creating tro uble. Pretty-sure you will be see Tibet how beautiful and happiness by now ok. Tibetan lucky that part of China which they have better live theirlife and happiness by now.
hmmmmm is a prayer chanting sound. We actually don't chant loudly in public but in monasteries. Tibet and tibetans are obviously different or rather completely the opposite to Chinese on every level. Thank you for showing our country Tibet.
Why don't apply for the citizenship of your host country? No point to become stateless refugee. Right? Be practical & realistic. Tibet will never ever get her independence.
8:30 in tibet is like 10:30 or something in other places. Because the whole country uses Beijing timezone so people don't follow the usual working times in other places.
Are you still in tibet ? It’s our beautiful country tibet. Hope you show more videos. We really miss our country, families, friends, Chinese stopped everything, we cant communicate with our families anymore. Really homesick! I hope throughout this video you will not china, while you are touring in tibet country. Thank you.
I can clearly see lots of Chinese bots and keyboard warriors being active here and passing comments in a sarcastic manner. Let me tell you few simple facts, Tibet was an independent country with its own dialect, culture & tradition. Tibetans genetical make up is much different from han Chinese making them much immune to high altitudes. In the year 1959, China invaded Tibet & over a million Tibetans were killed by Chinese Communist Party Forces. These data aren't published by Tibetans themselves but estimations done by independent researchers. 99% of monasteries, heritages sites, were destroyed during the illegal occupation of Tibeta by China which is still happening to this day. Monks and nuns were forcefully disrobed. I have been in proximity and have heard from exiled Tibetans who are now of our grandparents age, they have said, the blood shed was so horrifying that no matter how much they tried to wash away the blood stains infront potala palace, it wasn't going away during 1959 invasion. For people who are pointing finger at H.H. The Great 14th Dalai Lama. Let me tell you earnestly, this wasn't in main channel of Dalai Lama or some other official Channel but rather recorded by someone who have seeked audience with H.H Dalai lama. In which he said 'we should cultivate compassion and love towards everyone including those who have harmed us, we should practice forgiveness and practice empathy towards the officials of CCP, though our population is said to be mere 6 million, we should aspire to benefit over billion something Chinese with our Bhuddist philosophical view and teachings of the lord Buddha, we surely can benefit the over billion something Chinese ones our situation gets resolved with CCP', we should aspire to do so. In that video there's just 8-13 people surrounding H.H.
So great to seeing our peaceful and great Capital of Tibet. Those who were in Tibetan Attire-Chinese! Tibetans chanting Mani and performing Prayer Hand wheel. Free Tibet and we are returning home soon.
Yes, in Xizang under the rule of the Dalai Lama, the people at the bottom are serfs of the Lama and nobility, and only a small group of interest groups benefit. Most of the people in Xizang are very poor. The current Tibetan people are satisfied, but the Dalai Lama and the declining nobility who fled to India are very frustrated. They are just a group of bad guys who can only stay in India and gradually assimilated by the local people
Are the Tibetan building there newly built? I think they were destroyed totally by the Chinese in the past. Did you have a chance to talk to the people in Tibetan clothing? Are they actual Tibetan or just Chinese pretending them? Thank you!
I'm han Chinese.I think they are newly built. But I think these's no reason for han to pretend to be tibetan.this is weird.there are only 10% han in tibet.

Watching your video I miss Lhasa so much. Hello buddy I’m really glad to watch our capital Lhasa in your vlog it’s my dream to ride in front of Lhasa and meet with my parents.one day Tibet will be free from china
That day will never come because Tibet is liberated from poverty and lack of infrastructure and education so u stay out of Tibet u exile Tibetans have nothing better to do except barking free Tibet all the time 😂😂
If you don't advocate Tibetan independence and then go to the Chinese Embassy to apply, I think it's shouldn't be so difficult to go to Tibet? But if you advocate Tibetan independence , try to cause civil strife and territorial division in China, then I think all Chinese people including the Tibetan people, will not welcome you.
Aren't all the advanced robots in the West connected to the Internet? Videos about Tibet, China, about the city of Lhasa are readily available even in the forbidden internet of the West. Why is your robotics so outdated.
i want to know if there is a chance that the Tibetans in India can move back to the current Tibet, but which managed by China, and then how do you choose? back to China or stay in India?
