My German teacher showed this song to my class when we were learning about fairytales. I don't remember much of the language anymore but I still get a kick out of this song 😂
Ich hatte dieses buch als ein Kind war, aber auf Englisch. Ich habe die Geschichten ziemlich unheimlich gefunden, das Buch war verloren für Jahren, aber habe ich in einem Buchladen (in Düsseldorf ) eines wieder gefunden. Jetzt kann ich lese es auf Deutsch,:) Liebe dieses Lied, Video, Kunst und alles.
Das herzerwärmende an Knorkator: Die drei sind eine Familie. Mit klassischen Rollen. Lange vor diesem Video war klar wer die Mama ist. Und wer der Papa. Und wer der süße, kleine Stumpen.
Das ende hat mich gekillt. Postscriptum: 0,25x Geschwindigkeit zwischen minute 1:59 und 2:01 da kann man einen Frame lang ein Foto sehen deshalb wurde die Stelle oft wiederholt.

Yes, one from the 19th century, when people still thought that traumatizing children by scaring them to death was the best way to teach them proper behavior - well, apart from the alternative of beating the crap out of them if they did something wrong. The song's lyrics are almost completely taken from the original book text and the drawings weren't much less disturbing either (Well, minus all the booze and the main characters being replaced by carricatures of the band members, but the graphic thumb cutting and the fountain of blood spurting from the hand wound was there).
