Thank you so much for the review. My cat gets matted, but she would freak out for the noise. She is a medium hair cat, and I don't think the comb would get in deep enough to do the most good. Honest review much appreciated.
jjacks50 Yeah. Sounds like you'd do better with a different comb. My wife used to do hair & we found one of her old fancy combs that works pretty good to pick the mats out. Definitely worth getting a good brush & keeping up with it instead of hoping that something like this will work.
Bought one today it was on sale and 50% off, same price as a cheap brush, so I thought, that can never hurt ;) And then my husband used it without a battery first , haha! I told him it needs batteries! Dog is all good now, it certainly works with the wide tooths alone, will have to wait for more mats first! (Our cats hate the noise).
+Sue Haley I get that it would need cleaned. I'm just a bit bummed that it needed to be cleaned so badly after one use. I don't feel like I used it a LOT while making this video. It'd be nice if you could do at least a couple of sessions with it before having to take it apart. I feel like my tweezers and mini screwdriver did a great job of getting the hair out, but I'll keep that in mind if I use it again.
I have a yorkie, and We love thee knot out...except the close to skin mats she gets, then I have to use scissors...PAITIENTS deffinetly a virtue....on some areas...
I just read some other reviews online as i saw it in the pharmacy today and was thinking of getting it but every single review said it was a scam and did not work at all on their cats =^o^= Oh, by the way, your pets are adorable:-)

Undo the screw and slide the cover down (towards the handle) as you pull it out.
Wish I watched your video before I bought one of these, like you said, definitely a good comb, but as far as for knots, Matts, it's really sucks. Thank God the pet store will give me a refund :) thanks for the video
+Helena Jachimowicz I think it's an issue of lack of power in the motor. I forget what brand I used, but they definitely weren't the most expensive. When I bought brand new ones at WalMart, I bought the cheapest ones in the display.
Odaly Palacios I hope you have better luck than I did. We've gone back to picking at his mats with a sturdy big toothed comb that my wife had & cutting the bad ones out.
