Oh thats Lauren I don’t know where you’re from luv but I’m a FULLY grown woman. I grew up in philly in the 90’s and never had anyone use nail glue nor had I met anyone who used it. Further, I was a braider in middle and early high school. When I was a young burnt ends and micros were popping. Then we started the long individuals with “krinkly” ends. You braided the hair and dipped it in boiling water. The braids were braided down far past the hair and they did not unravel. NEVER seen the Africans use nail glue either.

@@laurenlocd3180 I did my own and it was easier than I thought. I just put in two pieces of hair per braid to make the process go faster. It took about 3.5 hours.

I had the hardest time with the parting. By the time I finally gave up my scalp was sore and red. I was defeated😩😂

Hi, yes You absolutely could, however that wasn't the look we were going for in this video. There is a difference, with doing the method you've suggested vs my method. Why I say that is because with adding in the hair at the ends we get a much more softer wavy hair texture with a nice finish which is the look we wanted for this style. So it would pretty much boil down to each persons preference. Thank you for your feed back

Any braid or twisted style with wavy hair or curls added to the end is why the style is referred to as "goddess " so these are indeed goddess box braids

Goddess braids are box braids with curly ends. They're very pretty.
