As a kid who grew up in So. Cal in the 80s and 90s, I went to Knott's Berry Farm way more than I went to Disneyland. I'll always have a soft spot for Knott's.
I grew up in SoCal, and I always enjoyed Knott's more than Disneyland because there were less crowds, better rides, better foods and was WAY cheaper. My grandma even used to buy berries from Mr. Knott on a horse cart back when it was an actual farm! I haven't been back in years, but this was a wonderfully nostalgic video, thank you for uploading!
I grew up in So Cal too! And I've only been to Disneyland like 2 or 3 times, but I went to Knott's a ton for the same reasons you did. We even had a school Jr. High night there. I loved that place.
Thank you so much for uploading this! I was born in 1995 and I’ve been going to Knotts since I was 3 years old. This video brings tears to my eyes. So many things from the old Charleston circle, the petting zoo, the old shooting gallery, and the inventors workshop. I thought there wasn’t any footage of. So this video was a joy to watch. Thank you
Awesome! I grew up going there too, and even had my Jr. High "night out" there with my school. I'd love to go back - I haven't been in almost 30 years!
This park is so cool. I'm from Canada, but have seen many videos of this place. I would love to go badly. I'm a fan of the old west and amusement parks, so this would be my dream place.
I grew up near this place, and it was a bit closer and cheaper than Disneyland, so I went a lot as a kid (I only went to Disneyland like twice, and usually when someone from out of town was visiting). We even went there for a Jr. High outing for school. The log ride at Knott's was always my favorite.
Hello, freshman from Western High School near knotts. I always wonndered why so many things felt out of place and this video expland why. This place used to have so many more attractions before and I wish that I could have been there to experience it. Now knottts is a shell of its former self from what I see in the video. From what i've experienced, there's no more water shows with lights, the water under the drawbridge is a gone (probably because there's no more boats), Montezuma's Revenge is closed, and the Indian show by the Mystery Lodge is closed. I never knew the skycap had a sky jump. From what I have heard about the reason behind Montezuma's Revenge not opening, is because the contractors that Knotts hired did a poor job and recked the fondation it was on. Thats just what I have heard. Camp Snoopy is Gettting a revamp just like fiesta village. Only problem with knotts that I can already see is that knotts has no more land to expand opon. All the spaces are filled up with only the space to expand to is to the parking lot. ( because if you havent noticed, Knotts is inside a city block with roads on each side). I grew up going to Knotts and still I'm going. This place will forever hold a special place in me; And even though I was born too late experience these things, I wouldn't change anything about it.
I'm Swedish and what is this? I wish they put as much effort into the auto-translate feature (there's a lot of Asian YT content I want to watch...) as they do the music / content match copyright nonsense... I refuse to believe Google is even close to AI, it's all just to make sure the big guys gets all the money /rant
