I had the privilege of seeing her here in Columbus, Ohio when she was visiting one of her family members who was in Riverside Methodist Hospital where I work in the kitchen. I looked her right in the eyes and thought that she was the most beautiful woman in the entire universe. I thought that her eyes were so freaking beautiful. My supervisor saw what was going on and later told me who she was. I was just going about my job in the hospital cafeteria and I manage to see the famous Beverly D'Angelo. Nobody was bothering her. We had a movie star right in our midst, and nobody knew it. She was born here in Columbus, Ohio and grew up in Upper Arlington which is just 5 minutes from my house. The interesting thing is that I didn't know that her grandfather designed Ohio Stadium (The Horseshoe, or simply The 'shoe as we locals call it). This was a very interesting video. Thanks for posting.
One of my favorite scenes is in Christmas Vacation when the storm sewer blew up and her legs go up in the air with that hot green skirt hiked up. Great shot !
@ 1:28 After Ronnie Hawkins, Cousin of Dale Hawkins, left The Hawks, they went on to become The Band and they backed Bob Dylan. Their last live concert was saved for posterity as "The Last Waltz". All the musical greats of the day were there to pay homage. It truly was a magical evening. You can watch every bit of it in sections on RU-vid.
An American goddess - a shame she didn't land greater movie roles -- he talents have never really been stretched far enough to display how deep they are.
Thanks for the Beverly D'Angelo memories.. Truly beautiful woman. I'd love to see a feature on Elizabeth Taylor. Especially about the time they spent in Ontario Canada. I had the privilege of meeting her and Sir Richard at a bus terminal in Barrie.
Love her favorite scene when she’s in bed laying with Clark (Chevy Chase) and the camera is a above shot of them and Clark has tree sap on his hand as he gets it on everything. Including her hair. Not to mention you can see those amazing ta-ta’s through her gown. 😁
Very talented, I have thought about her many times, "..I was alone..." Natural Lampun Vacation, Christmas vacation, vagas vacation, European vacation...
Met her in 1982. She was very extraordinary and highly beautiful! Talented and funny! Met her while I was working on the set of Commando. We exchanged pieces of artwork.
@@Filthy_Larry diet coke maybe? Don't snort Don't shoot! Just drink diet coke. When someone disagrees with young people how come they would have to be on drugs? Commando was in the can in 1982. Released in California in 1983. May have been re-released in 1985 for the rest of the country?
I so remember this gorgeous woman from the Director's cut of " High Fidelity ", when John Cusack comes to see her & to look at her husbands record collection ! OMG, she was so fine !!
Saw her looking unhappy in Durango, Colorado (as Ellen), at the Budwiesser beer distributor (the owners name was, what else, Bud) waiting to shot one of the scenes of her and Chevey in the front seat of the "wagon". Her slight underbite, her eyes and incredible hair, wow she was beautiful.
She's like a half dozen people - a Disney animator, a pop musician, a visual arts student, a rebellious youth, a countess, a musical actress in Hair, and a co-star in hit Chevy Chase movies - all rolled into one Beverly D'Angelo.
Truthfully, while Lampoon's Vacation movie with C. Brinkley showing her supermod appeal, Beverly can stand on her own too if dressed as such, I thought.
Beverly D'Angelo "officially" graduated in my class from Whetstone High School, Class of 1969, in Columbus, Ohio, although she spent most of her high school years at Upper Arlington HS, also in metro Columbus. She was the "new girl" in school and only for a short time at the end of our senior year. I think I remember seeing her in the hallways but don't recall having any classes together. In retrospect, I would have liked to known her better. Beverly is the second WHS grad to land on Broadway, Jeff Fenholt, WHS '68, landed the lead role of Jesus Christ in Jesus Christ Superstar.
D’Angelo famously played and sang as patsy Cline in coal miners daughter. While Levon Helm (the Drummer from “The Band”) played Loretta Lynn’s father in the same movie.
