Did you see the 7 steps? I'm on step 7 but still waiting. Be prepared for at least a 4 month wait. Be sure to watch your email because I received papers to sign and only had 5 days to do so. No one told me it was sent. I signed those on day 4. There are 4 seperate times you will have papers to sign. I truly hope you get the help you need.
@@Sunshinejkc Good morning, stay on them because there is no type of communication from the case worker who processes your paperwork, a simple email takes them 2 weeks to send, 72-140 hrs to get welcome email.
I applied April 29th, May 3rd told its being reviewed. I called and it appears it in underwriting but why is there no time line or frame. The only I was told is that if I get an eviction or foreclosure is received they will expedite. Seems like there is no care or concern.
I applied in March I'm still waiting. Contact Scott Farmer with NCHFA. Then contact the NC Treasury Department. I'll post who to contact at the Federal level soon.
I applied 10 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything. My home went into foreclosure and I am now having to go through another process to stop the sale. The NCHAF will not answer our questions. I’ve asked several times what and how long the process is. Unfortunately it’s too late for thousands of Americans who weren’t able to work bc of Covid, are missing work bc they have gotten sick and CANT go to work for 5-10 days. Why is no one helping us?
Hi Tracy, please email us at pressoffice@nchfa.com with your full name and contact information. We will have someone call you right away with an update on your status.
Hello Mr. Vera, the NC Homeowner's Assistance Fund is for eligible homeowners who are at least 30 days delinquent on their mortgage or housing-related payments. It is not a loan. To find out more information including eligibility, visit the NC HAF website here! nchaf.gov/
I applied in September, and have been trying to contact my case manager via phone and email, but still have not gotten a response. My application has been in the "under review" stage since.
Hello Isaac, thank you for reaching out to us. We have contacted our Outreach team with your inquiry and will have someone contact you directly regarding your application. Thank you.
How long was the process I applied a month ago….spoke with a case worker on the 2/15/22 saying my application was completed but still haven’t heard anything
@@yayaad8833 the entire process from the time my home was up for Auction which was February 9th, to March 1. March 1 is when the agency cleared out everything for me. Even with an HOA that was absolutely terrible, they still cleared it out before the outbid process was done.
@@SuperFriday first and foremost i went through a lot of tissue because of the tears. Lol. But altogether, it was a really easy but stressful process. I called on February 8th, my homes was being auctioned on the following day. When the sale went final, the upset bid period started. Typically your upset bid redemption period is 10 days. But there’s a loophole in North Carolina that every-time a new bid is put in after the initial auction it restarts your 10 days. So from February 9th, to March 1- I had 3 buyers put in upset bids, and by the time the last upset bid had expired, my home was redeemed and the NCHAF wiped all of my HOA debt and also my property taxes for this year.
I need assistance ASAP! My house is in foreclosure and I filled out the Loss Mitigation application. I’m still waiting to hear something back from them. They have been reviewing the application for over 2 months.

@@nchousingbuilds thank you for your quick response. I am in the process of trying to register now. I was saying that the people I have my house financed with has been reviewing my Loss Mitigation application for 2 months and I haven’t heard from them yet.

No one will return my calls. Nothing is as it appears and it does not seem they are even on our side. I started in Jan. 2022. Still waiting for assistance.
Hello Melisa, thank you for reaching out to us. We have contacted our Outreach team with your inquiry and will have someone contact you directly regarding your application. Thank you.
This has been, by far, the worst experience of our lives, including customer service. There is a clear reason why they have removed the review options on google. They denied us after making us jump through hoops, we did exactly as THEY instructed. The reason for denial is "we arent 30 day past due" but in reality we are 4 MONTHS past due. They refuse to show us where they have this information. And Amy Lane, our supposed case worker, ignores all calls & emails.
Hello, we are sorry to hear about your experience. Please email us at pressoffice@nchfa.com with your full name and contact information and we will have someone contact you regarding your application.

This program doesn't help. I own my home and because my ex-husband and I separated they wouldn't assist me because he nolonger resides in the home. Although I reside in my home, I own my home, and everything in the home is in my name except the mortgage BUT I'M ON THE DEED! It's like I was penalized for not staying in a bad marriage.
Hi Janet, we cannot find anyone under your name who has applied for NCHAF. Did you apply under a different name? You should send your information and contact info directly to outreach@nchaf.gov so someone can look into your case.
@@nchousingbuilds I emailed my counselor however I did not receive a response. She changed my application from my name into my ex-husband name but I will email this address as well to see what happens
@@janettorez7972 Please email outreach@nchaf.gov and provide them with the name your application is under and your contact information. They will be on the lookout for your message.
