My interview with the man with the Colgate smile, drummer for the singular country artist Tyler Childers, Mr Rodney Elkins. We get into his roots as a member of a deeply musical family, through his experiences playing in his dad's band, playing in marching band, studying music in college, to playing with Tyler Childers on the club circuit all the way to major arenas.

I'm so stoked that you did this video! I'm a big fan of this channel and when you did the Rodney video I was so stoked but I got super stoked when you revealed that he was your buddy. I've seen ol' Hot Rod play a couple times now and I'm such a big fan of his playing! I met him in Jackson MS and he was super nice to me. Great video brother!!!

Great video, I’ve wanted to know just how the band got formed . I figured they were buddies from high school. You can tell Rod and Craig have known each other for a long time when you watch their body language on stage. Being a drummer myself you know we’re always watching the drummer and not just the front man. Again great video truly enjoyed hearing Rods backstory, I’m a huge fan and hope to meet him sometime when they get back out on the road in the Louisville Ky area.

Great interview. Nice to see he doesn’t have some crazy ego. Just a great solid drummer and friendly, who worked his ass off and it paid off for him. By paid off I mean he is doing what he loves with his best friends and doing it well. You just got a new subscriber and I’m heading over to check out the Danny Wagner video. Danny is another one of my favorite drummers as Greta Van Fleet is one of my favorite bands.
