I think soshi didn't undergo on those diets, maybe they did in some particular era but they dont really diet. They eat ALOT and even the manager said that if you want soshi to eat, u have to order food for atleast 10 pregnant women. It just that they know how to exercise or go to gym or the manager sets their sched hardcore. For RV i think SM didn't mean them to go to diet (look at joy and wendy durinh happiness era) but bc of the harsh bash or insults the netz gave to them, they ended up undergoinh diet. Just my opinion tho :)

SNSD literally admitted themselves that they eat like 10 pregnant women since debut. Also, some members like Yuri and Hyoyeon drink ALOT and everyone knows drinking causes weight gain. SNSD have never been starved, maybe before debut but not anymore. As for Red Velvet, all of them were healthy and adorable during debut and 2015. However, Joy and Wendy started dieting. Idk if Seulgi and Irene diet since they dance alot. But Wendy admitted that she dieted according to her own will for Red Flavour era. And Wendy and Joy are MUCCCHHH more happier with their bodies now. SM is generous, stop joining the bandwagon hate on them.

Well, face the truth...in these kind of industries (not just s.Korea) you need to look the part. Your image sells so they got to do what their selling. Plus if these girls gain weight like crazy real talk their not going to be famous. Their idol so supposedly their suppose to be the "it girl"...(look,personality,singing,acting, etc). I'm pretty sure the companies is not starving them but make them eat healthy only or less. Probably why their sneaking junk or unhealthy foods. After dancing for many hrs will make you super hungry so you will eat more or cravings for unhealthy foods. It sad to know these things but it the truth.

I totally agree with you but on the bright side it has improved from the past. The girls did say in the show that the industry is different now so trainees don't have to do these things, though there probably are some exceptions.

Gaining weight like crazy is another thing, but what I'm stressing is that these companies are expecting unhealthy numbers out of these already teeny tiny bodies. Also, the truth is, they are starving them. Hence the reason why many admit that they have psychological problems like depression, anorexia, anxiety, bulimia and the list goes on.

But do they? 🤔 I question if they're really telling the truth.

The companies don't make them go through such harsh diet just because they are assholes; they got better things to waste time on. It's because the mass majority would prefer skinny girls rather than fat ones. (Yes, I say fat because on camera, normal weight looks fat since cameras aren't advanced enough yet to capture all lighting and shading effect.

I know I don't know sm as good as heechul but I'm pretty sure Amber does she said it in an interview with cnn I think that it's really different with boy groups and girl groups they are more harsh with girl in terms of appearance you can check it if you don't believe me

Just to clarify, they were from A Cube Entertainment. But then the company changed their name to Plan A Entertainment. Their company is different from Cube Entertainment (which houses artists like BtoB, CLC, Pentagon etc) :D
