They always talk about how strict and scary he was during his trainee days and you can see part of that in the survival show 😂 .. he once stopped talking to han for 3 days for not tiding up his things 😅 .. but now he is so much softer and chill

he's said several times he was very strict because the company and his hyungs were very strict to him. you should watch their interview behind with jyp bc it puts into perspective how things were. because jyp was very strict towards chan but even worse, while chan seemed to be strict to the other members but didn't go overboard because he knew how it felt. and that's why seungmin cried when he had to record in the jyp studio and found peace when he recorded with chan in his studio. and why changbin said to felix that chan's hard on him but all he does is talk about how good felix is to everyone at the company. but that's also why chan says he finds it hard being just friends with the others. he said in an interview he's jealous of changbin bc he's able to be friends with everyone but there's always gonna be a limit as leader for him. and why han finds it hard to drop honorifics with chan even tho chan asked him to because its just been programmed into him.

I think this type of thing is not about being wrong or not. Everyone just thought that as an 'Australian' he wouldn't care about it since it's not his culture, but everyone including Han was surprised bc was quite the opposite. And that's bc Chan was a trainee with 2nd and 3rd gen idols, who were especially strict regarding honorifics, but that in itself doesn't mean wanting to put distance, or having an incorrect attitude towards another person. So I don't think it was a big deal for Han, it's just at that moment he must have been embarrassed for finding himself in such an uncomfortable situation, and that's why Chan apologized. And in this show the reactions are usually exaggerated on purpose. Also, just saying, this has nothing to do with him being too strict, since in other shows he explained that this was because he was worried about not everyone debuting together.

@@M-yx3nh yea he definitely wasn't too strict and the reactions are for the laughs. han has always said that chan took care of him and they always say chan wasn't as bad as they're making it out to be its just he was strict bc he had to be. felix even said chan doesn't need to apologize. and hyunjin said that they wanted to be in chan's group because they believed in his leadership
