PART 1! Just because you CAN machine the part, doesn't mean you should. It happens to the best of us: someone asks if you can machine a part and you say yes, before walking through what it truly entails.
Derrick Hogan, from North Georgia Technical College, is going to take us through a time when that happened to him. When asked to machine a cast brake lever, it wasn't until relatively deep into the project that he realized he should have turned down the request.

I own a small CNC job shop. That is a ton of work to locate. So difficult to explain to some one if your charging them by the hour just the handling time to locate a part. There 20 dollar part turns into 300 and they tend to not like you. Good video!

Can you show a close up of the T-slot covers used on the Bridgeport during the machining of the 'C' clamp portion of the video? Reference time stamp 12:43. Thanks
