Sam the echidna we saw isn't pacha Mac because Tyson Hesse confirm the echidna that shot long claw was pacha Mac that's just knuckles in a disguise which makes more sense since he doesn't have the 3 markings on his head
Now that you mentioned that, it’s makes total sense because as we recall, the Knuckles clan existed way before the events of the games so although we have this confirmation, I really love the references that is served for Knuckles’ story in particular. Well done, Paramount. @@sonicnetwork2944
*I know a lot of people get sick of the human characters in things like this, but I actually like seeing the Sonic characters interact with the real world, And the humans reacting to their presence.* Having these sort of alien-like creatures fit into a regular Society I always found pretty neat.
@@donathan2933except Dr. Robotnik/Eggman. I hope the next game has human characters appear. Sonic Frontiers introduced Sage, yet she's an AI and does not have a human body at this time, yet.
Humans have been a staple in the series for quite a while, we haven't seen them in the games for quite a bit so I don't mind having them in the movies.
1. The most suprising part is how much money they seem to be putting into this show. I was half-expecting it to be a lower budget spinoff where Knuckles has his own little adventure , completely separate from everyone else, with the rest of the cast making short cameos But, NO, they legitimately got most of the cast to come back, the animation looks about as good as it does in the movies and Wade seems to be the focus among the human characters, which I like cause he was hillarious and his personality plays off Knuckles *suprisingly* well. 2. Robotnik *isn't selling his tech* , and this is something I predicted a *while* ago btw lol, people are taking his tech after its been scattered from his fights with Sonic and are repurposing it for themselves. And, I'll be honest, its a clever way to have viable threats for the cast outside of Robotnik, without bringing in characters from the games . I mean if it was just regular thugs and criminals, there wouldn't have been any stakes. 3. I'm not really sold on the show, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
I agree too, Disney and Dreamworks could definitely learn from this because they have a huge problem making low budget spinoffs of popular franchises and getting actors that sound nothing like the characters. They have the money to, they just refuse to put the extra effort in.
Ok as for Pachacamac, remember in the sonic movie universe, the echidna tribe was around during sonics time, heck in the first movie they chase sonic for his power. So pachacamac being alive makes sense whereas in the games, the tribe were over thousands of years ago before sonic was ever born, before Angel Island was ever created with Chaos and Tikal being trapped inside the master emerald.
Yeah that's the thing people are missing. Knuckles says in Movie 2 that the Echidnas are gone now, but he doesn't say _where_ they are or what happened. The implication is they all died in the war, but them surviving and having a few managing to make it to different planets is not out of the question at all. Chaos can't even really exist in this universe unless, like, Gerald Robotnik sealed Chaos away while experimenting on Project Shadow. The Master Emerald had the Chaos Emeralds inside it, not Chaos. (I had speculated that perhaps the Biolizard could get replaced by Chaos or something, so they combine elements from SA and SA2. SA2 did have Artificial Chaos after all.) So yeah, its totally possible for both Pachacamac and Tikal to be alive in this universe, which is really cool. I like Tikal a lot.
There is every possibility that Pachacamac is just a hallucination of Knuckles' when he gets his ass beat. Like, he gets knocked down by the bad dudes in the bowling alley, and his inner warrior mindset manifests in the form of Pachacamac telling him to get up. But for comedic reasons, he's dressed in appropriate local attire.
The way the film series has evolved from the very first trailer and design is my favourite thing ever. I found this channel because of the movie, it's a wild ride. Love your energy, keep going strong!
What if Pachacamac is a vision or spirit following Knuckles? Kinda like how Tikal was for the cast in Adventure. And maybe his spirit is being extra silly and wants to go bowling. lol
According to the comics, Knuckles' race hides in "dimensions" and "worlds", so Pachacamac may have fled to the Human World or was looking for the master emerald. But, because he found the world something completely different from living in a tribe, he abandoned his mission and decided to live on Earth, enjoying life. Now, Tikkal has to be with him, because she is his daughter, canonically speaking. And if he is the owner of this place, Tikkal must help him, being as pathetic as it may seem, a waitress. Just looking to confirm this.
They said the villain worked for Robotnik, my guess is that he was Robotnik's assistant before agent Stone. Based on the damage, it looks like the tech they're using is from the debris of Robotnik's drones.
Kid Cudi going from making the music for Sonic 2 to starring in the show is so awesome! He was great on his Netflix show “Entergalactic” love seeing him act ❤
Imagine knuckles gets that motorcycle at the end of the series as a reward for helping defeat that guy in the Mech suit then in the third film shadow steals the motorcycle and we get the iconic shadow riding a motorcycle in the film 😂😂😂
My guess is that Pachacamac in the bowling alley is a dream sequence. It looks like Wade is heavily invested in the bowling B plot (which seems to be what takes them to Reno, the Bowling Championship), so maybe Knuckles gets into bowling as well and it encroaches into his dreams along with his past.
You forgot to mention a little something..... It also gives viewers and fans a little "waiting gift" before the 3rd movie is released. Which its not until Christmas 2024.
my guess with pachacamac is that he’s not literally alive and working in a random bowling alley in las vegas (going off of the poker chips in the trailer) he might be a genie-like spirit guide for knuckles
I do like how they're doing more with the idea of the hero's quills being used as a powerful energy source & honestly the concept of an underground ring of former Robotnik associates using his recycled tech is compelling, just depends on the execution. With that said I am very excited for this series.
The thing is, it makes sense that Eggman had some other people that worked under him. I know in the games he made all of the technology himself. It does make sense if Movie Eggman had an entire bunch of people that worked for him to help build all of his machines.
He worked as a contractor for the military-if not directly for them. Those types of operations generally have a decent network of teams and connections associated with them.
If you’re wondering about the bowling alley, the show (at least, a part of it) takes place in Reno, Nevada, where the National Bowling Stadium is located. I am from Reno myself, and I can confirm that bowling is pretty big here. Tons of alleys everywhere in the city! I’m super excited to see my city represented in this show like this - we never get ANYTHING like this!
I mean, they're on Earth. Of course humans will be there. I'm excited for this. Looks funny, lots of action, most of the cast is shown from the second movie. There will surely be great moments to laugh and cry about.
I remember seeing a statement saying not to expect the movies to go in the same order as the games. In response to Shadow already showing up. My theory is maybe Knuckles tribe hasnt died YET. But could possibly be wiped out in a later movie when Chaos potentially shows up.
I think that villain is Grimer, Robotnik's lackey from the UK comics- he says in the trailer he WORKED for robotnik. And something to think about, as far as the echidnas; in this universe, as far as we know, Tikal is still alive.
I don't think Tikal is ever mentioned, the only thing we do know is that Knuckles says in Sonic 2 he's the only one left, but the Echidnas _were_ around when Sonic was still a baby. As such, its not impossible whatsoever that some Echidnas survived and wound up on Earth. Pachamacac _was_ one of the Echidnas in the flashback of Sonic 1. Perhaps after the loss of his tribe he mellowed out. It may be that the enemy forces already have Tikal and they're trying to get Knuckles now because he's the one who has the super strength red flame power.
What I really like about Knuckles’ design in this is that he doesn’t look so perpetually angry all the time like he did in Sonic 2. They eased his eyebrows a bit so he can show a much wider range of emotions
I know people keep saying this, but I don't think the context works here. I think he really is alive. Sonic was alive in this universe when the echidnas were still around; the context of the universe is COMPLETELY different from the games. The echidnas were not extinct 4000 years ago, Knuckles himself says in Sonic 2 they only went "extinct" a short while ago, and even then, their being survivors is not out of the question. Some of them winding up on Earth is totally possible in context, and the idea of him being an apparition... while wearing a bowling outfit... yeah that doesn't make all that much sense. I think the show will explain the context of why he's there, but the idea of him being an apparition doesn't make much sense in all honesty.
OMG no joke MY MIND LITERALLY WENT “SAM HAS TO FREAKING SEE AND TALK ABOUT THIS!!!” 🙈🙊🙈the trailer was quite enjoyable and interesting, was immediately enthusiastic about your reaction❤️❤️
My guess for the bearded guy is that he used to be one of those agents from the first movie. And I don’t think Robotnik was selling his tech, I think the bearded guy must’ve salvaged them after Movie 2.
So...I wonder if Rory Mcain is actually portraying Snively. I'm not sure about the whole legal thing of characters from the SatAm Universe being integrated into modern stuff but that'd be a great way of reinventing the characters from that corner of the franchise & bringing them back in the spotlight, especially Snively
Pachacamac being alive in some universe and potentially coming to the humans via Ring portal could mean he will try to get the chaos emeralds/master emerald and thus give us a Chaos story in the movies/maybe even in this show.
I feel like a good reason why egghead is selling his stuff is everyone thinks he dead and with not having a job or working with the government he doesn’t have funding anymore. So I’m thinking he’s selling his stuff so he come back bigger and stronger then ever.
Imagine If the villian of the show was Rouge constantly trying to take the master emerald in a way thats in character for her without being too openly confrontational, trying to get on Knuckles good side before a big betrayal, would kill to see that show
I think they said that the villain worked for Robotnik in the past. I'm assuming that he learned from Robotnik. I'm excited. I think that it looks good and faithful to the iteration of knuckles. I agree that their should be more sonic characters but I'm more excited
I'm hyped about the Knuckes series as you are, Sam. Gonna watch this with my Knuckes plush. We are gonna eat grapes together while watching this in April 😊
I’d be willing to bet big money we’ll see Super Knuckles in the final episode. Also I’m betting these new villains are working for Agent Stone and need Knuckles power for something involving Project Shadow.
If Pachacamac is here, I'm predicting that this series may dive into apsects of Sonic Adventure. Also, that mech at 10:16 is LITERALLY a Decepticon lmao
This Show is Light Hearted but I really hope we can get some teasers for sonic 3. great video and I hope this show is a banger Also nice edition of Blood flow at the end of the vid
The fact they even included a Scene with Knuckles wearing a hat that is literally IDENTICAL to the one he wore in the Sonic OVA(1995) just made my day better. W upload Sam.
I don't understand why some people think the human characters need to be retired at some point, when it legitimately wouldn't make sense, due to them being more involved in the plot, which is something that Sonic fans have been wanting in the games for years, besides the fact that this is a live action show.
Chaos didn't destroy them all---they died in the war with the Owls. We have no idea if Chaos even exists in this universe, but he was _not_ inside the Master Emerald. The Chaos Emeralds were inside the Master Emerald instead. So we already know they didn't die to Chaos. Also, they didn't exist thousands of years ago. They were around less than twenty years ago, because they still existed when Sonic was a baby.
I perfectly understand were you and others are coming from with the human characters. I agree to an extent, but we should understand that the movies have introduced the Sonic series to a whole new audience. Newcomers as well as casual movie audience have found attachment to the human cast because since their not big Sonic fans, they feel more attached to the humans. And not everyone is able to connect and get attached to a bunch of cartoon, talking animals. It's why the Transformers movies have a lot of humans. Casual movie viewers who aren't big fans can form more attachments to the humans than the big alien robots. It really depends on how well written the human characters are.
MOTHER FREAKING PACHAMACAC IS HERE! I thought all the echidnas were dead. I wonder if this means Tikal might even show up. I know we saw the echidnas and even Pachamacac in the first two films, but we assumed they were all dead. I really like the idea of bringing them in here, its really neat.
I think he came to look for the Master Emerald, but, upon arriving in the world, he changed his mind and decided to enjoy it. Until, if the long claw died, no one comes after the Master Emerald, so the mission could be left until later.
I love the fact that the show is taking place in Las Vegas as a reference to the Carnival/Casino levels in the Sonic games. I am kinda bummed out that the main antagonists are gonna be new characters obviously tied to GUN instead of it being The Chaotix team being hired by GUN to go take down or capture Knuckles or maybe capture the Chaos Emeralds. Because honestly it would’ve been such great casting for Kid Cudi to be Vector or maybe even Espio. As for Pachacamac surviving, I would’ve preferred to just have seen him in a Flashback. Knuckles being the last surviving Echidna is a huge part of his character.
I kinda doubt Rouge is going to appear at this point, I think they're saving her for Sonic 3. I could have seen it if we saw her in this trailer, but if she's going to appear she should be a major focus. Instead it seems to be focusing on Knuckles going on a personal journey that ties into his past. At most maybe she'll appear at the very end to tease Sonic 3. The villains, based on leaks, are LOOSELY based on the games. They're basically replacing a Sonic game faction nobody really liked anyway.
