Same partially due to how insanely powerful he is for Eddie to briefly become the first character i know of too powerful for even marvel comics to win. Since he lost his turn as Captain Universe not long after winning the fight
I'm all in on Knull and really hope they dont "Love and Thunder" the character. Star Wars is sorta doing it right lately by letting true fans produce the series like John Favreau.
@@captaincoooolFavreau works closely with Marvel too tho he just hasn't had a finger in a main project in a while. We just saw him in What If season 2 as Freak so I assume Thunderbolts and Capt America 4 New World Order are inherently better now that they have more time
I like that Knull put up a good fight and didn’t just get clapped for plot reasons. Don’t know how I feel about my latest favorite marvel villain getting so quickly power crept, but this is going to be the most insane Venom Vs Carnage story ever!!!
@@thatonehumanthing937it isn’t really a fluke, yeah it’s true that Knull was cheap shotted by Carnage when his back was turned, but Carnage does have pieces of mjolnir as part of his biomass now and we saw what thors hammer did against knull in the main timeline. If they fought head to head I would say that knull would still have the advantage but it would be more even than originally thought.
@f.ggaming8206 I remember what it did to knul... it irritated him. They had to throw him into the sun to even win. He couldn't be controlled at all and ur telling me a symbiote blind sided the God of symbiotes and absorbed him in a short time... after we learned so much about him and how strong he really is.... there's no chance in hell a psychopath even with the powers he had could blind side The King In Black.... It is a fun story and interesting but from an honest standpoint it definitely wouldn't happen.
The fact that it took Carange with the power of hundreds of other beings including Mephisto, silver surfer, and enigma force just to beat an alternate Knull makes Knull even more powerful for me. P.S Caraage would have most likely lost without the enigma force.
Well Knull was being capable of waging war against Celestials and the best they could do was banish him lol the only reason the earth heroes won is because S.S carried the enigma force into earth allowing it to find its host as it would have been stuck outside the barrier Knull had around earth
Carnage is a different breed of monster but that doesn't mean that Eddie isn't putting in that work either. If we thought that Carnage vs Knull was good when he meets up with the Eddie who defeats Meridius it's going to be nasty. He will probably start glowing like Bruce Leroy in the Last Dragon.
I kinda want Eddie to welcome Carnage right into a checkmate. His powers as the King in Black are essentially to influence the entire timeline organically, which allows him to subtly guide events to line up exactly as he needs them to. Reality warping from the inside, instead of forcing another reality on top of it. So their battle essentially comes down to a giant puzzle for Eddie, to find a way to defeat Carnage and pull all the strings to bring all variables together exactly when and how he needs them to.
This comic is doing massive retcons and I'm not sure if I really like it, Knull was very much a multiversal entity he was aware of what symbiotes were doing in other universes even to the point of controlling symbiotes that were artificial, this other Knull just appeared out of no were just so Carnage can be a King in Black but that also puts into question everything that is happening with Eddie Brock plus Carnage being able to just absorb the Enigma Force like that doesn't make sense either seeing that not even the host of the Enigma were able to keep it unless the force wanted it added to that Carnage is also pure darkness which is the opposite of the Force so it should have hurted him instead of power him up.
But knull said he's linked to every symbiote in every reality. How does he not know? Also, as king, isn't Eddie's control of symbiotes complete? How is carnage free from that? Sounds like plot armor.
Knull should have pulled a big brain move by traveling to all the multiverse & merge with his alternate selves. Or kill them to take their powers like Carnage did.
Whoever wrote this clearly didn't do their research. Knull himself said he's connected to every symbiote across all realities, which means his alternate reality versions still share a hivemind. Not only that, but he watered Knull and the symbiote dragons down badly. I wish writers would pay attention to the work they're following after instead of pedestaling their power fantasy. It's still an interesting story, but holy shit it doesn't make sense. "Knull is of the flesh" wtf even was that false statement? He's 100% symbiote on a higher scale. Would've been nice to see the accurate depiction of knull face off against this souped up Carnage, because even with those powers, I'm sure knull would've been molly whopping carnage's ass. And don't even get me started with the enigma force, they really fumbled the ball with what was established in the spiderverse series
@@DermotBrophy hey I get it, sometimes the story is better than the continuity. Don't get me wrong, I've been on every issue the minute they drop, and carnage and ghost rider have been giving me the fix we needed. Just wish they stuck to the established scaling and limitations, would've meant a longer battle with Knull that required more adept use of the powers carnage gained, but instead we got "two god-like entities with wide power sets settling for swinging blades at eachother"
@@justanothercollector43 Same here. The inconsistency of writers following existing stories is why I've also quit. Knull's Origin says "in the beginning" but clearly there was more prior from that point since the Celestials aren't the first ones who brought life into the universe as told by Knull.
Knull is multiversal but every universe has one version of knull. They are not same. Even this version of knull was so powerful that it took carnage to have enigma force power of silver surfer and power of 100 other powerful beings to kill knull. And it's just weaker version of knull. Also carnage stabbed him from behind when knull was busy fighting others.
Comic writers are so inconsistent. The way the enigma force comes off is that it chooses people. Why would it stay in Carnage? Oh and for the love of god can someone else explain to me what is cosmic awareness because in Thanos Wins I was like "Ha ha okay''. Thanos managed to backstab a person with cosmic awareness". But now they do it to Silver Surfer again in this issue. I am confused.
It especially makes no sense since it was basically being used interchangeably with the starbrand as far as I've seen it. Wasn't it supposed to be a universal defense system?
@@ceral1871 That makes no sense. Carnage needed it to fight Knull from another reality which means he was not as strong as Knull. The enigma force is as strong or stronger than Knull. There's no way Carnage " is strong enough to contain it within himself". The math ain't mathing.
Was the venom silver surfer with the enigma force in the same universe as the knull that carnage killed? If it wasn’t then the enigma force wouldn’t work in another universe. We learned that from Spider-Man and the inheritors story
No carnage absorbed the enigma force if enigma force chose the person than if he leaves the universe the power is gone not absorbing the power enigma force is not chosen the carnage carnage absorbed the power that's way the power is not leaving carnage and the enigma force is not multiverse being in every single universe there's enigma force
Fucking wild, I love that they made Eddie and Venom into gods and did the same to Carnage. Now I hope they do something equally as phenomenal with Toxin.
If only Cletus Cassidy from the main Marvel universe witness Carnage now. Hopefully they'll both merge like Kenneth suggest to take on Earth-616 Eddie Brock.
Man the editors need to reign in these writers. The inheritors squashed captain universe Spiderman like it was nothing and then somehow enigma force Carnage can hold his own against frickin Knull, the guy who basically one shotted the Void.
On a side note, I find it funny that Eddie in the mainline, has a canon child that he and Venom made. Before Peter would ever would, that's the blessing of not being too famous or too unknown now.
He once took control of SS, plus this is an insanely Amped Carnage (not your average day to day version) If he's powerful enough to battle and kill Knull, he's sure as hell more than overqualified to kill SS
No he needed the silver surfer to get to knulls level. No way with just what had should he be able to get the silver surfer let alone a silver surfer with the enigma force.
He shouldn’t have been able to take out all those venoms at the same time in his normal, weakened form. That’s a complete fuck up on their part, and I’ve already lost interest now lol.
@@Anonymous-ee7sirob explained it wrong. That’s not his normal weakened form he still has the powers of the Grendel symbiote which is one of knulls strongest dragons.
They watered down this knull and the symbiote dragons *drastically* for the sake of putting carnage on an even playing field with KIB, they ignored a lot of the established functions of characters and forces in this issue. And if you don't believe me, carnage saying knull is "of the flesh" should've been one of many alarm bells going off
2:08 TBH… since childhood, Vemon has ALWAYS been my FAVORITE character.. even over Spider-Man… But lately, I feel like there’s wayyyy too many Symbiotes in marvel comics. (Not enough in the MCU) .. I wish they would’ve stuck with JUST Venom- Carnage -Phage* Riot Scream ?? Shreek?? (forgot the 2 others names…) And then -TOXIN! (I was HYPED reading that comic as a kid.. with the introduction of Patrick Mulligan - Toxin) But now. Everyone & their Mothers have a Symbiote .. 😂 ❤ the video tho.. ~Dr.Zeus
This is what I wanted, CARNAGE HAS WON!!! At the end of Carnage Reigns we see a piece of Cletus left alive as the Extrembiote and if it reunites with Carnage then together they'll be fully complete and more powerful.
The concept of anti venom is so cool, I liked the comic where he teamed up with frank castle and frank just randomly tries to kill Eddy multiple times during the team up lol
After seeing carnage becoming a god and the new king in black plus the captain universe Powers with many heroes powers as well it’s too much I am starting to think meridius is the answers in order to win this battle Notice meridius in his future ate every symbiote in his universe to gain immense Powers Plus with the other kings in black meridius prime Eddie Wilde tyro bedlam finnigan Will have to merge their powers to fight a been like this Then Eddie needs to borrow the venom symbiote Dylan bonded to venom has evolved The venom symbiote this was meridius plan I though meridius was the problem but he might be the answers to everything Or Eddie can hope he can call the Eventuality to bail him out it will be a wrap for carnage If the Eventuality gets in the mix but don’t see it happening
Eddie and his future self will join forces, and Eddie will see why he needs to become MORIDEOUS. Everything is going according to his plan, if it were not, Kang, DOOM, and MORIDIOUS would have made plans to end carnage.
One theory that your Wong meridius never resurrected his original body Prime Eddie did after that whole limbo situation split Eddie and bedlam into two where one version bedlam beats and kills darkoth, And return to the garden and transform into Wilde but it never happen Bedlam and Eddie teaming up that never happen since meridius doesn’t Have those memories Explain why meridius is following Eddie journey when we saw him in venom 25 But Eddie is going to needs the other kings in black to beat king in black carnage
As someone who has loved comics and marvel in particular for years I have to say. The ease with which they are letting the celestials get killed or beaten nowadays is ridiculous. They used to be in the upper echelons of power now they seem to just be pawns to throw at a story.
I bestow upon you, the rights of my kin, the king must fall, farewell to him. The path that you choose must be your own, Win or Loose ? It´s in the seeds that you´ve sewn. Wicked in life, righteous in death, ultimately dimised, in the final breath. Show your strength, to the ones that you fear. Keep your enemies close, let your friends near...
When Thor Love and Thunder revealed Gorr and All Black, Venom talking about the multiverse and after Eternals showed Celestials, I was hoping they’d go back and show Knull fighting Celestials and cutting the head off to what is Knowhere. Knull could have been the new big bad with a lot of sweet build up to Thor taking him Down in the future. So sad they ended him in one movie after such an awesome Storyline
Well as always that's one of the most amazing storylines of marvel tho it'll be a huge war between two kings of black and that parent-first spawn rivalry will be on cosmic level
i agree it would be pretty cool expansion on cyclops if he could open that gateway to other dimensions for optic blasts with different properties/powers
Q: How did Carnage absorb the Enigma Force? The Enigma Force supposedly has a will of his own, and it only bonds to good guys... and its Equal in power to Knull, so if Carnage with it absorbed was on the same power level as Knull, how did he manage to overpower and absorb it in the first place?
Wow. This has been the most tense part of the story. Rob told it with so much passion that I thought I was on earth 463 watching it all unfold. With popcorn 🍿
So Knull has went from being an eldritch multiversal threat from before all creation that can boss pretty much anything short of abstract cosmic concepts.... now theres 1 of them per universe, so they're just another cog in the multiversal machine
You left out the part where Carnage not only killed but absorbed the Silver Surfer's power & abilities as well. Same with Dream Stone Venom beforehand.
The movies maybe suffering right now but damn Marvel has been killing it this year with the comics 💯, carnage and ghost rider especially, great story telling 🔥
When marvel comics are bad, they are BAD, and when they're good, I can't stop getting into the stories I enjoy. Blessing but a curse. Symbiotes are at the top rn.
Waiting to see how they write themselves outta this one. Just hope there at least some tangible explanation to it an not some hand wavey, oh Franklin Richards turns up (with his powers) or Wanda does her standard Deus ex machina "No more Carnage" thing
I'm always down for more Carnage content. It's so cool to see how powerful and calculating he's becoming. He's ruthlessness will never change. Carnage at his present power level would be a problem for most entities but challenging the OP King in Black could be a problem.
"A god, that is what I have become, that is what I always was." What if the original Carnage was just a small sliver of the true Primordial Darkness, and has to gather enough power to gain self realization and is reaching that point? Knull claims to be the primordial darkness but is not the true primordial darkness. What if carnage is? Doubtful but it would be sick if he was.
Truth is, any and all villains are aspects of Oblivion, Knulland Death included. Which is why Oblivion is beyond reproach, until we get a writer that ignores all the established history for a story, which this run basically is
Okay.. but.. Eddie has already spoken to the presence or whatever it was called the omnipotent future version of himself which they have now established he becomes. ... doesn't that mean we already know carnage has to lose? Haha
Wait wait I thought it was established in the beginning that Knull couldn’t actually be destroyed? It was stated because he is essentially darkness he can only ever be trapped. I know in KIB he was “killed” but surely that isn’t the actual truth? If so then what about the entire setup of his initial origin ??
Knull is not a unkillable irrepleaceable entity, he never was. However, his JOB is, his job in the cosmos as the King In Black is something that can't be destroyed. In the main Marvel universe Eddie managed to kill Knull and then became the new King In Black. Is Knull strong? Strong is an understatement, but he is not a unnalterable, unkillable entity like The Living Tribunal.
The Enigma Force it's the thing what turns you into Captain Universe but it supposed to only work in the universe you are originally from if you go to a different Universe you are supposed to lose that power so want Carnage lose that power if he leaves this universe
They just used it as a plot device to explain how he was strong enough to defeat knull. Now that he is a king in black it doesn't matter if he loses the enigma force
When writers write themselves into these corners with villains and heroes with such astronomical powers, they literally only have one way out: Plot devices. So, which will it be: 1. Reed Richards uses the Ultimate Nullifier to wipe out Carnage from existence? 2. They pull out the Beyonders to fight both of them, which would make everything worse and end up doing another total retcon of the Marvel Universe? 3. They pull something else out of their bums that they use to wipe out Carnage?
If Dylan can't control other universe's symbiotes, why would Carnage be able to utilize other universe's symbiotes' power in 616? Same with Infinity Gauntlets. I enjoy this, and love Carnage, but I'm trying to make sure I didn't miss some explanation.
So how long did that first fight last? a few pages? Seems silly to bring in anti-venom , rips all the other Venoms away from Carnage, then ooops I just rekilled them all and killed the anti-venom so you can't do that thing again.
