”Saw, axe and knife are the main tools I use for slöjd. When working by hand, one uses all senses. Ones eyes see and register. Ones ears hear if the tool cuts well, and the fingers feel the shape. The cut surface gives the object a golden glow and the marks from the hand work is clearly visible. The interplay of hand and mind gets practiced in a easygoing and fun way.
