He didn’t have it tied correctly. Go look up the story. His brother did it in a hurry and tied it like a shoelace instead of the proper method. Plus, in Glory it’s a TKO in the rule book
Lol then whenever you're losing you could just pull someones pants down and get try to get a no contest out of it.. these rules are in place for a reason
@@Lizzio1980 that’s silly reasoning. Dude both times threw low on the kicks that knocked it loose. Doesn’t matter if he was losing, he got hit with a low blow and the other guy had no repercussions for it.
Dude was getting starched and dropped over and over in that fight. It was pretty much a mismatch and then the cup came loose. If anything that ref saved him from getting flatlined.
"This referee is useless" he can't see the shorts dropping down to the boxer's knees- he should get glasses or give-up refereeing. If I was that boxer I would make a complaint.
Maybe the ref is secretly homosexual wanting to look at cup but not letting everybody know he wanted to see so he said that's it because it was turning him on knowing the cup fell
It was just a "wardrobe malfunction" which was caused by apparently either a low blow or a blow at the lower stomach ( which is not clear at first sight because the player is facing sideways ) . It should never have been considered cause for subject player's TKO because it is irrelevant to the fight . And the allegation that the referee also made similar anomalous decision in other fights should make him be subjected to an investigation and, if such is true, together with this recorded fight's erroneous decision, must cause him suspension or dismissal . A "time out", nit a TKO, was the right decision !
I had this happen during a karate (American Kenpo) tournament once.. I ignored it starting to fall off, landed a nice kick that got me the bronze, and immediately after the match the entire thing fell through the leg of my gi pants.. LOL I probably should have been disqualified for not having it secured the whole time.
The real referee was sick so he didn't turn up and the event organizers had to pick someone quick from the staff. As it turned out the "substitute referee" was a night shift cleaner and knew nothing about combat sports.
Glory, why repost this rubbish? Cup malfunction, low blow on last kick, useless ref (this ref hasn’t improved over the years, in other fights he can’t tell the difference between a slip or knock down), average commentary. No wonder everyone leaves Glory for UFC!
