For a koala and kangaroo mixed exhibit, you could use the stringywood eucalyptus or the ghost gum which are both temperate and grassland, as well as the foxtail palm which is both grassland and tropical. All of these plants satisfy at least one biome for both the koala and the kangaroo.

They do have a really long jump! With the koalas you're probably right! Occasionally I spot a unique animation that rarely happens! Never managed to spot a guest with a butterfly though!
Interesting thing about the koala and the kangaroo foliage, there are several plants from Oceania that live in both the desert or grassland as well as temperate/tropical. You basically have to sort the foliage by Oceania then check the tags to see what biome they come from. There are several that would work for a mixed exhibit. I agree that the koala habitat turned out really well without the kangaroos though. Really like the shade idea an I’ve been working on how to make something like that and your solution is brilliantly simple. In gonna use that idea. Did you know that with the new widget speed control set to lower settings the angle snap works in smaller increments? I’ve been loving this change for circular builds and it made making those shades so easy. Really enjoying this series
Thanks, and that's a great tip! I had no idea the widget control could do that! I figured there'd be a couple of plants cross-over but had no clue how to separate them out as I assumed it'd sort it by anything that was temperate, tropical, grassland etc. but not all 3? My bad! But like you say I think the end result turned out better having the koalas on their own.
Definitely! I've not figured out how to convert franchise zoos into sandbox ones for the workshop, but I'm sure I read a while back that there is a way
Hey plastic swans soon you should remodel the African penguin and the buffalo habitat. You’ve done it before with the ardvark habitat so you can do it again. Also by the way when you finish the zoo you should blueprint the habitat instead of blueprinting the entire zoo it can make the fps of some computers go crazy so just blueprint the habitats
There'll be the full zoo, and I'll also spend a couple weeks optimising the habitats and upload the good ones. They all need a bit of tweaking before they go up though since they're formed to suit the paths of this specific zoo etc.
By the way when you build the lions habitat you should take inspiration from long leap and Taronga zoo it has amazing viewing areas. I did have that in the back of my mind, but will take a fair bit of work to get them all going. It's a 'I'd like to do this at some point' project currently
What animals are missing from this zoo?(Also I feel like you should have a check list at the end of each video showing witch species are in the zoo and witch ones aren’t)
There's 125 species in the zoo so far. With 166 in the game currently, that's 41 species left to go in. There's a list of all the species in the zoo in the description 🙂
