The pilot thought he was gaining altitude, when in fact he was losing altitude. He had lost his spatial awareness of his surroundings. Pilot error crashes are the hardest to accept. Ego kills.
@@jennifercarr6918 that's not a thing. Every aircraft has to be able to be flown in IMC to be registered in the US. If it has an attitude indicator, altimeter, and heading indicator it can be flown IMC. I learned IMC in a Cessna 152 with no AP, flight director, or anything. Just purr stick and rudder.
Dude that shit was so traumatizing and evil 😂 you'd be watching the most innocent shit in the world and then all of a sudden the creepiest image in the world pops up with a blood curdling scream
God the sound alone breaks my heart for Kobe and everyone who was there. Specially his baby girl. They must have been hugging each other so tight. I’m literally crying for this family 🥺
They had no idea of what was to happen. Read the autopsy, Kobe's body was chopped to pieces. Even his head was multilated where as the jaw and teeth could be seen.
Fog, mountains and helicopters are why the pilot should have said “Sorry, Mr. Bryant, flying now would not be safe,” but he erred on the side of keeping his client happy. Gottagetthere has killed many who would still be around if they’d thought about it a bit.
@@moonscar119 And it got him killed. In all of these accidents, the pilot could have and should have refused to fly. JFK JR over estimated his ability to fly in darkness and got himself & 2 others killed. He didn’t want to wait and fly the next morning. Buddy Holly’s pilot was a rookie but still should have refused to fly in that weather. Aliyah’s pilot knew the plane was overloaded and also had drugs in his system if I remember correctly, but he wanted to keep his client MTV happy. Add Stevie Ray Vaughn to this list. Helicopter and fog and gottagetthere at work there too. Commercial pilots take chances they shouldn’t to keep a wealthy client when they know better.
@@m1dsp1k3r Actually not correct. Only air traffic control and can authorize requests from pilot to take a certain air path. In this case the pilot left radar by flying very low, then by the time he re-entered radar he was completely spatially disoriented while also flying way too fast. Nothing and no one confirmed that Kobe caused this crash whatsoever.
@ミスティドラゴン Incorrect. In this incident Air Traffic Control DID authorize the low attitude flight path. The investigation showed dozens if not hundreds of flights between this specific, very experienced pilot and Kobe, and on not one instance of flight did Kobe interject or interfere regarding the pilot’s time schedule, in-flight instructions or otherwise. This was one of the first things investigated after the crash, and this was found to be untrue, completely.
@youtubebannedme4207 My goodness you have an excellent point. How about if they did something so badass that not even Kobe could have done. Maybe they were so humble that only God knows. Not everything needs to be noticed. Society's approval don't mean nothing when your time comes. Then again, some love to go unnoticed. Again, my condolences to all those that perished. Every single one was a superstar in somebody's world. 🙏🏻
Man, I was so depressed whenever I first heard that Kobe Bryant and his daughter passed away because I literally thought this was a lie but it turned out to be true so RIP Kobe
Even more horrifying that BS videos like this one can cause all the family members who lost a loved one to relive it daily when they are trying to heal as it is already.
The golden age of the world to me was from 1970-2006. After the iPhone came out in 07 and social media took over its been all downhill from there. Nobody has a personality anymore, they follow whatever trend they see and that just a way of life now. To me the best part of the 80s and 90s are the people who are no longer here. Christmas at grandma's house and everyone in there having a good time and cutting up. You didn't just grab a plate and hurry home. You spent the day with family......not a stupid phone but family
Everything has a price. This is why some people choose to live more simply. The things you own, people you love, and the life you build ends up owning you.
There's always that one person in the comments section who thinks the video is either fake or staged...you wouldn't of said this IRL and if you would of said anything at all you would of agreed 😅😅😅
That wasn't it. If you listen closely, you can still hear the sound of the rotors going further away. The splat sound that's audible is that of an exterior door closing
@@Djacob_ Mamba Mentality says you can overcome your perceived inability. The pilot and contractor were informed of the weather conditions. And the pilot WAS KOBES CHOICE everytime. I’m sure Kobe said they had flown in fog plenty of times and gave his personal favorite pilot the confidence to go
@asdasd-rv5zo incorrect. Police and Television choppers were grounded. Part of LAX shut down for fog. The only reason they were allowed to fly is because nobody wanted to face the wrath of the piece of shi+ bully Kobe Bryant
@@shamekaaponte2980 Facts! I was shocked as well. Not pretending that I understand what she went through. But going after every single company, organization, or person associated with the accident when you’re already more than financially taken care of throughout life made me question her character in that situation.
@@shamekaaponte2980Ethics matter. I am not a pilot, but I assume that they have a code of ethics like many other professions e.g. engineering, medicine, etc.. the client may not know better, but the pilot should in my opinion.
I wasn't hearing it until I put on the earphones and...yeah... there's a lit of noise here where the camera is, but you can hear the...crash if you focus.
My first thought when I heard the news of this crash was about the 19-year-old woman he violently assaulted in 2003. Just before the criminal case went to trial she informed prosecutors that she didn’t want to testify in court due to the doxxing, hate mail, death threats and intimidation she experienced in the aftermath of Kobe's arrest (this was way before the MeToo movement). She ended up sueing Kobe in a civil case in which she settled for $ and he apologized. It's important to note, especially for the crowd who believes Kobe is a saint, that at the time the police report was filed by the woman, authorities noted the bruises on her neck, and during the first interview with Kobe, Kobe lied about his encounter with the woman and claimed nothing happened between them. The police told Kobe they had physical evidence from the woman, in the form of bodily fluids, at which point Kobe changed his story and admitted to having intercourse with her, but then claimed it was consensual. He admitted to strangling her and pointed to his own self-described pattern of strangling women during encounters because that was "his thing." After the first interview, police took samples from Kobe, and he was then arrested two days later. It's fairly clear that had the woman not been doxxed and threatened that she would have been willing to testify in court at the criminal trial. Kobe's fans literally, and unlawfully, saved him from that prosecution... at the expense of the victim. It's a sad commentary on society as a whole, really.
You speak the truth & only have 3 likes. Including mine…. It was a different time back then. Powerful dudes got away with all kinds of shit. Let’s hope the ones who try that shit now get what’s coming to em. And for the ones who got away with it? God will judge them..
@astronomicalreason9807 Why do you hope that? What is the point in making such a wish? Your hopes are irrelevant to me, but you've also misunderstood. I made no claim that he "deserved" anything. I simply stated my first thought was about his rape victim, and I provided irrefutable public-record details of the case that many people may not know or may refuse to acknowledge, like his voluntary admission to the police about strangling women being "his thing." Do you think any public figure in 2024 could remain popular after openly admitting to such a heinous, violent fetish? You do bring up a good point, though, about karma. The world is a much better place without violent rapists in it. Would you agree? Or do you prefer having violent rapists around, like living in your neighborhood or dating your daughter? Your apparent tone of self-righteousness is laughable. Now that I think about it, maybe he DID deserve it. Maybe I DID hear the sound of karma as the helicopter crumpled into the hillside. The audio isn't that great, so I can't be certain. 😉
My brother is a basketball player and he admired Kobe…he was in 8th grade at the time during Covid-19 ….I will never forget the day he said that Kobe Bryant died….it was so sad😔
It literally “splats” at the end. I feel for those folks as it must have been a horrific moment. “You can be a King or a street sweeper, but we all have to dance with the Grim Reaper”-Bill and Ted
I'm not even convinced this is socal in this vid. Plates on the truck don't look right. There's a lot of grass. Trees, too. And the houses all have slanted rooves and aren't stucco. Looks more like North Carolina than LA.
That license plate is a sort of vanity plate and these are new track houses. The developers build what fancy s them or who the target customer Fancy's.
I don't understand somebody has a video from their ring camera pointing to their truck and dubbed the sound of a helicopter over it and called it Kobe Bryant helicopter crash genius
Bruh i swear these phones can read our thoughts because just the other day i was thinking about the day Kobe and his daughter died in that helicopter crash and this video pops up on my feed..
Pharmaceuticals companies bribe lawmakers around the entire country and world. Even assuming this story about him 'testifying' against some mystery company is true, the idea that they would go out of there way to fake a helicopter crash and murder one of the most famous basketball players of all time is just brain-dead. That doesn't even make sense, again assuming that what you're saying is true but I highly doubt it. The REAL conspiracy when it comes to pharmaceuticals is that capitalism allows these American companies to artificially raise and surge prices for life saving drugs that are either free or 5 dollars in every other first world countries. That's the *actual* conspiracy and when you bring up stupid shit like this, you are doing their work for them by distracting people with weird shit instead of talking about what they actually do.
@@h3artands0uLLkoby was going to testify against a pharmy co something about The Black Mamba is one of the most popular nicknames in sports history. Kobe Bryant had every reason to be mad when Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals used the name to release a energy pill onto the market. The fad of “eat a pill and lose weight” was gaining popularity in the mid-2010s, and this pill catered to exactly that. Kobe had been battling for 3 years-he had sent several notices to the company to stop using the name. They retaliated, saying it was an animal that they were using, but Koby was killed 3 days just before testifying !
Always a sabotaging choice from pilots flying those small planes when they are aware of the dangers that the weather brings. Let’s not forget the poor choice of the people who choose to get into a small plane with fog so thick its blinding. Heartbreaking.
I remember where I was in exactly what I was doing when Dale Earnhardt died. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when Chester Bennington died and I will always remember where I was and what I was doing when Kobe Bryant died. I've always been a huge Linkin Park fan and I'm about basketball fanatic so clearly I'm a fan of MJ and Kobe. Thankfully I was blessed and got to meet both of them. I'm at Chester twice in Kobe once. I'm at Chester through winning and then buying backstage passes and then I got Kobe's autograph at the Staples center when I was a young teen and he autographed my shoes. I've still got them and I'll never sell them. I cried my eyes out in the second I found out they both passed. Rest in peace Mamba 🙏 We miss you😢
@@moontrainz3790 I don't think they meant they were waiting to see it since the crash happened. I think it's a joke about watching the video for 4 years wondering when the helicopter will show up
That "pop" just sent chills. I pray they are all in peace. This was a horrible and very preventative accident. They never should have been given the go ahead. Heartbreaking 💔
I know the small _*pop_ at the end is supposed to be the crash, but I've heard a lot, and I mean a _lot,_ of helicopters and other aircraft pass right over my head while hauling ass before and all this sounds like is a helocopter doing a high speed pass and banking out behind some sort of sound buffering cover, be it trees, a hill, or the fact that the house is blocking some of the sound as the bird peels out. Am I saying this is fake, or that its not what its purported to be? No, I'm not saying that at all. But what I am saying is that its so indistinguishable from something relatively normal that it's uninteresting. Its honestly the baitiest of click baits I've ever encountered.
Should i be able to see anything as I am watching this. This is a serious question. I am watching and all I hear is a maxed out helicopter and then a pop sound.
I have to believe that a split second before impact, that pilot saw the ground and realized it was over. What a horrible feeling to discover at the last second he killed 8 people….

Im glad the uploader didn't add some kind of, over-the-top, "public domain" sound effect, like MANY DO on those major aircraft crash video compilations; ten crashes in a single video and ALL THEY END WITH THE SAME SOUNDING HOLLYWOOD overly studio created production, digital BOOM explosion. This was so "real", that's why it didn't sound like a Hollywood sound effect; just a short, but effective, "metal coming into blunt force contact with hillside terrain", pure & simple as that. Overly enhancing the end of Bryant's & children's demise, which this uploader had the very good sense & respect of NOT doing, is showing proper respect for the totality of this horrific, life ending incident. Everyone wants to blame the pilot. Kobe thought he was better than everyone else down below stuck sitting in traffic so he chose to be flown around. Icarus flew too close the the sun this day
Gee who else wants to post a video of the sound of a helicopter flying overhead without actually seeing the helicopter then post it on RU-vid as Kobe Bryant's helicopter crash for views ? 🤨
