C A R L except, Kai’s scouting grade is actually wayy higher than Kobe’s. Paras never really had a chance and Filipino fans should’ve known right at the get go. They only relied on Kobe’s mixtapes. Ur ignorant if you don’t think that Kai has a legit chance. 7’2” centers that are mobile, could pass, shoot, etc. doesn’t grow on threes. That’s what separates him from Kobe. Paras was never rare. There are a bunch of 6’5” guys that could jump as high as Kobe. But there aren’t much 7 foot guys that could do what Kai do (hell there aren’t much 7 footers lol).

After his stint with NBL, he went to B-League na mas madaming undersized players yet he couldn't dominate. As long as Ph basketball is not shifting into a modern and westernized type of basketball there will never be a homegrown Pinoy talent that will ever make it in the NBA. That's a hard pill to swallow for the majority of pinoy hoopers.

He's great at dunking and good at shooting no doubt about it. The downside is he is terrible at dribbling and defending. That's why he really needs to improve in that area. Then we can start looking the rest of his ability from passing, court vision, awareness, IQ, all those kind of stuff... Basketball is not just Shooting and dunking. You got to have all the package if you want to make it to the NBA. But if you want to stick with shooting and dunking, there's your PBA.. Good luck Kobe!
Yup I remember someone brought up paras at the Creighton game today hearing he’s struggling in pro ball back home. He should have redshirted his freshman year and played it out. He’d have been a senior this year on a good Creighton team
