Driving along the Mosel River on the road 416, takes you through some breathtaking views of the region. Surrounded by vineyards on either side of the river, the road snakes through and right beside the road is the railway line connecting Koblenz and Cochem. After Kobern Gondorf and the famed moated castle through which the road cuts, we take a turn to tackle the 5 switch back turns making it onto the highlands. Here the landscape is a vivid contrast to the previous, endless green fields until the horizon.
