As long as the strikes go on at WGA and SAG, syndication continues to remain anemic, and basic cable itself continues to be in its current state of depleted first-run inventory due to streaming, that's what you're going to get. Eventually, stations will tire out of old talk show reruns, but show business is in a serious identity crisis now. I will say that having some of the more popular streaming shows sign syndication deals on the linear end would help.
