Thank you so much for this video, I just got this camera and it’s literally a lifesaver compared to the manual!

The lever at the right side (looking at the lens) that you're pushing down is the flash delay - it's a Flash Kodamatic Shutter. At about 1:25, it's done correctly - for 1/10th second - and hear how quiet the shutter is. This model sets the shutter when you wind the film to the next frame.

My dad bought this when it was new and gifted it to me in the late 1970’s. I still have it and shot a roll a few months ago. It still works fine with beautiful results📷

You have preserved and preserved very precious memories. Personally, I love this camera with its great design and complete mechanical mechanism.

im thinking about getting it, although I've never shot film besides disposable cameras. Would you say this camera is easy to use or is it for more experienced people?

Typical 35mm film cameras are not particularly difficult to use than disposable cameras. There is a hassle of setting the shutter speed and aperture, but the emotions you feel after you get the finished picture will be more pleasing. I recommend it. Get started.

I've looked at this video several times, read about the camera's history (it was Kodak's attempt to compete with the very successful Argus C3 "Brick"), and I decided to buy one to add to my small collection of antique Kodak cameras. So, thank you for introducing me to my new Kodak 35 Rangefinder. Best wishes from Vermont! 🐧 ☺ 🐧

How does zone focus work with this camera since the lens doesn't have the distance markings?

Great video - incredibly intelligent and interesting presentation and editing. ☺ Over the last few years, I've been moving towards traditional photography and towards Kodak in particular. An amazingly successful and quirky company. One thing I keep reading is how film was their main business and cameras a distant second, despite all the cameras they produced. Another interesting thing: collectors don't rate their cameras very high other than one or two lines. Kodak also made low-end and high-end cameras but didn't bother with anything in between. The Rangefinder was one of their rare attempts to tap into the mid-level camera market. The incredibly successful Argus C3 prodded Kodak into developing the Rangefinder but, again, only as a way to get people to buy film. Kodak was all about film. Cameras were something they left to everyone else. Anyway, that's what I've learned because of channels like yours. Best wishes from Vermont: have a safe and interesting week! 🐧

Thank you for the best compliment and encouragement. Watching the collapse of Kodak, which was the beginning of the picture, is upset by the brutality of the years and the incompetence of the management. I wish you a safe and healthy life.

@@lian68812The story of Kodak is a story of incredible imagination and success - and the worst collapse in photographic history. It did not have to end. 😞 Your personal camera museum is amazing - and inspiring to see. I was in a serious accident recently. Hit by a car, but slowing healing. Because of a fracture and a broken foot, I can not use my cameras. The good news: I will enjoy many weeks looking at your videos. Thank you from Vermont, USA! 🐧

I found the same exact camera at an antique shop but it seems broken. Do you know any place in mind that specializes in vintage camera repair?

Where there are vintage camera repair shops will be different from country to country and from region to region. It's hard for me to answer anything. Sorry.

Hello, I have this same camera. It was working fine, then I pulled down the little side lever on the left side of the lens that you showed. Do you know what that lever does? Did you have any issues? I may just be doing it wrong, but hope I didn't break it by pulling that down?
