Out of all the comments I have ever received, and the potential help that I have given… This is the one I’m the most proud of!!! I’m glad I was of some help! 😆
the blue/magenta/yellow cast that you are talking about at 17:50 depends highly on the pH of color developer pH too low = blue/magenta-red cast pH too high = yellow/green cast the pH of color developer solution can be corrected by the addition of 10% NaOH/H2SO4
The punch and contrast of those colors make slide film so appealing to me ... and the super fine grain. I really need to shoot these last two rolls of E100 ...
Ektachrome is nice, I do wish they had multiple speeds like they used to when it was called Elite Chrome. I'm sorry you weren't around for Kodachrome, it was truly beautiful.
I totally wish I was there for that too! Would have been pretty!!!! It would totally be nice to have faster speeds of E100! That would be fantastic …. Hear that @kodak 🤣😆😜
For me, Ektachrome is too muddy could be due to the scans. I do also see the tint. Best Slide film I shot is either Agda Precisa 100 or Fujifilm Provia 100
Yes, I have noticed a blue cast on a lot of my E100 shots. At times, I just forgot that shadows would be extra blue. I sill love it and make sure to always have it in my bag. With exposure I have to prioritize what I want to look better: the film or the scans. It seems like when the film looks perfectly exposed, the scans will be a bit over exposed. I usually expose for the positive film itself to use in art.
@@BadFlashes I’m honestly not sure. There are a few options. Either: I contaminated my developer, the developer temperature was wrong, I screwed up the ratios when making the batch, I rinsed when I shouldn’t have between chemical baths, or the distilled water I used for mixing was too high in ph. There are a lot of things I could have done. Haven’t narrowed it down yet since I haven’t processed enough E6. Here’s a forum discussing possibilities though, found it it pretty interesting: www.photrio.com/forum/threads/questions-for-people-here-experienced-in-e6-processing-with-a-jobo-processor.37465/print
X700 is an excellent camera dude, good for you. I had 3 of those but sold them all. Didn't used them that much so they had to go also I'm not a fan of cameras that depend on electronics/batteries to work.
@@BadFlashes 😂 just glad my old 645 doesn’t work, else I’d be even worse off! I did find today somewhere in the UK that had gold, colour plus, ultra max below £10 for fuji superia 400 at below £11 for 36exp Portra 400 I found for £16.50 or £77 for a 5 pack. Cinestill 800T for £17 Took literal hours of scouring online but, when you live in Scotland, there ain’t many local places to buy from 😂 still on the hunt for “bargains” on slide film but apart from one place selling pre order on Ektachrome bulk cinema film repackaged, it’s slim pickings. Seen the odd Fuji ones £19-£22 in stock, need to take a £5-7 hit on delivery on most places since they aren’t competitive on the other film I’d want though. Spreadsheet territory when buying these days. I remember when they used to give you colour plus or whatever for free at a supermarket when you got film developed and picked it up. Changed days 🥲 Sub’d and keep up the class videos. Working my way through a bunch of them
Also, when working with the lower range of slide film. Don't forget to bring a fill flash! If your subject is in shadow but your background is light a fill flash is a godsend on slide film!
@@BadFlashes you would need one of those professional rigs that could carry the weight.... maybe trent palmer could fly it for you he's @trentonpalmer on Instagram
Comparison!!! COMPARISON!!! comparison!!! Between Velvia⚡⚡⚡ Provia⚡⚡⚡ and Ektachrome!! ⚡⚡⚡ And of course Kodachrome (opps😀) thats too much it doesnt exist anymore.
@@BadFlashes or you could just take your time and think about what your actually shooting, and make a challenge out of taking good photos for yourself. I guess it doesn't matter if you like what you're doing, but it would make your videos a lot more inspiring I think.
