People talk about "racecar for the road".. well, Koenig C62 defines that term. We had the honor and pleasure of taking a 1 of 3 Koenig C62 from the hotel to Laguna Seca, where we took it on track for charity lap auction winners to experience. This is a road-legalized car based on the Porsche 962, and it's every bit as difficult to drive slowly as one would imagine with crazy long gearing and even a power clutch assist function. It's also difficult to drive fast as the boost comes on very strong. It has awesome quirks like pneumatically closing doors which seal you into the cockpit.. something we were black-flagged for in the video during a session. For all these reasons, it's about the coolest car I could imagine driving, and i enjoyed every single second of this legendary experience.
