Playthrough with Chae Lim, Kim Kaphwan and Jivatma. This game was released for the arcades and Playstation 2, but only in Japan. It has nearly everyone from Maximum Impact 2 and also adds four new characters, including Ash Crimson and Blue Mary.
The story mode is gone though, leaving you with just a time attack mode instead. And the difficulty has been bumped up -the CPU tends to go a bit psycho on you at times, especially if it gets you in the corner.
This game marks the end of the Maximum Impact series. Further sequels were announced, but then cancelled. Which was a weird choice by SNK Playmore, as these games had been their best sellers in America. None of the new characters introduced in the MI series have appeared in the 2D games yet either.
