Great video! It’s so nice to see Koh Mook with some tourists. I was there beginning of last year there was no tourists there and Charlie Beach was deserted and the bar was shut as was many other places. I was luckily to have the emerald cave to myself though! I’m defo going back there next year after watching this.
We stayed on Koh Mook too, probably just after you did, but we were on the other side. I loved Koh Kradan as they had the best snorkelling on our trip. And the Emerald Cave ohhh I’d do it again!

Koh Mook looks wonderful. We will be visiting the island at the beginning of March. We have chosen Koh Mook and the surrounding islands as we believe they are far and away from the busier Thai islands further north on both sides. Is the reason for this due to the shift from Buddhism to Islam the closer to the Malay border you travel?
I don't believe that's the case; I think it's simply that they're more difficult to get to versus the easy access to northern islands from Phuket. You'll love the islands, have fun! Thanks for watching & being a subscriber 💛

Hey there, we booked it on the island of Koh Mook, really easy. We did a private longtail boat which you can book the day before or even that morning. We went super early so we were the only ones in the cave, which was TERRIFYING. I would not have wanted to be alone haha but if you go a little later in the morning there will be plenty of other people and it wont be scary to go alone. I hope this helps. Schwab debit card - very smart move. You two are the first travel bloggers I have seen recommend this very cost effective tool for ATM usage. A Schwab rep told me years ago they offer free ATM usage because they do not have brick & mortar banks for people to walk up and access their money. Great videos but please either put a date stamp on the intro or include it on the "info text section" above the comments. The time of year is useful when planning; effecting anticipated crowds, weather, high or low season lodging costs, availability of transportation, etc. Thank you for your great work and all the best for your future travels.
Looking at the Happy Bungalows where you stayed. Some comments on booking sites indicates no swimming at the beach where they are located. Are the bungalows on the beach & can you get in the water there? Was there air conditioning in the units? Thanks for your reply. We enjoyed your video very much & are planning to go to several Thai islands in December.
Hey there, the bungalows are located at a spot where there's no swimming, its a mangrove and not a beach. The units have AC. There are some other beach bungalows located near Pearl Beach, they were out of my budget at the time, but they look stunning. You are going to love Thailand, have fun!! Good video, only thing disagree maybe was the bakery as portion i got was small and not so cheap. Maybe the thai food was better value? Happy time was good value. Overall good video.

Hello, I'd like to visit koh mook in february but I'm reading that sivalai beach, which seems to be the nicest beach on the island is not suitable for swimming and there are lot of sandflies?
It's very shallow for quite a ways out. I didn't experience any sandflies, but doesn't mean that there aren't any :/ The opposite side of the island (a quick 10 min bike ride, 5 min taxi) has good swimming and a pretty beach!!
