Koh Samui Aiport according to the Telegraph News paper is one of the most beautiful airports in the world. One of the most unique terminals in the World and a perfect place for holidays. The Terminal looks like a resort.
On the flight to Bangkok we had a great view of the new Terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

When I arrive at this airport I know I’m about to have a great vacation. When I depart, the free snacks cheer me up but I really don’t want to leave.

Great Video, a nice approach over Samut Prakarn, looks like a new sort of approach into Suvarnambhumi from the south , flying along the coast and a hard right into 01, thanks for sharing

The moment in 1996 - when i first arrived at this airport - was one of the most impressing travel moments in my live. No Internet, so we never saw this airport on pictures or even heard about it. This was so unbelievable for us ... so amazing.

I've never been to Samui but have heard about this cool airport. Looking forward to flying there soon! Preferably on one of those turboprops. I think Bangkok Airways operates ATR 72-600 which I haven't flown on that often. Another turboprop you might run into is Nok Air's Q400 by Bombardier

Check out the difference between the words bring and take. 99% of the time you should be using take, not bring.. Nice video. Wonderful airport .thanks for bringing us along while you take the flight to Bkk

This airport beats changi. To see kids swinging in natural playground in a airport is amazing. Bali airport should be like this as new Bali airport is so filthy dirty now sadly.

Best to hand carry any battery and devices with batteries in them.

Correct. Batteries cannot be dispatched in the cargo compartments. It's a major fire hazard. It's mandatory to have them as a carry-on, so in case of fire it can be easily controlled by the crew on-board. Glad to hear that the Thailand airport security is on top of that.

How early do you need to be there? Normally it's like 2-3 hours but im guessing that's not the case for this airport when flying back to bangkok?

I love the airport in samui, but only 1 problem….it is owned by Bangkok airways and they are the only airline flying into the airport

Aaron, we got a little bag with some snacks and water after we landed. Due to covid they can not serve now in the plane.

I agree this airport is great. Unfortunately the island of Samui is totally over developed and trashed by mass tourism. What a pity that of the main attractions of Samui is the airport rather than the island. The rest of this island has been ruined by the combined greed of developers unrestrained by laissez faire government.
