Hey If the engine looks abused I will look into both cylinder head gaskets. I will recommend both replacement but only the bad one if he doesn’t want to spend the money. Hey how about those bolts holding throttle and choke bracket. They almost alway snap. Excellent video

Great video, I’ve done this on Kohler engines a few times now but not being trained I wasn’t exactly certain I was doing it right. They always worked after and it’s my own equipment but it’s nice to see this process from start to finish. It gives me a little more confidence when performing the work, Great video. How long of a job would you say this should usually take 1 day? Also I’ve had the devil of a time getting the lifter rods under the rocker arms after tightening the rockers. Any tips for doing this with just one person?
Thanks, and yes if you already have the parts, absolutely 1 day. It got dropped off on a Tuesday afternoon I believe, I ordered parts that day and the machine was ready by Friday. Also, definitely easier with a 2nd person for depressing the valves. If you're doing it by yourself, get the biggest wrench you have and try to do it yourself with both hands.
