Will you not try UVA and UVB light treatment? See if their colours might pop better? Twenty minutes a session, for total two hours per day? As a supplement to the food options.
@@AdamJulyan I suggest trying UVA, UVB, UVC or similar light while you have them in the basin. Give them a 'sun burn' of sorts to make their golden to black contrasts potentially pop better, of course, together with some colour enhancing foods and other nutrients. While keeping each 'session' not too long. Like, twenty minutes light, then forty minutes break. To let them relax and such. After all, much like we humans can't deal with too much sun, these juveniles should be considered delicate. So maybe even less. But ye, some say that it is supposed to give a better colour to fish. Haven't tried it myself, but if you want to try something different, mayhaps one of those Reptile UVA/UVB lights. Of course, not use for long periods of time and only use in one side, so if they don't like it, they can move out of the way.
Great to see the fry again Adam. Have you thought about trying Adam Byer for fry for a change? WHy not move them to the bigger tank by size? About every two weeks have a sizing session and move the bigger fry to the big tank. Thereby leaving the smaller fry in the measuring bowl until they get big enough to fight the bigger fry for food.
Yeah it might be something I'll try one day see what happens next year. That's a great idea and probably what I will do as you always get some big ones quite early on.
No idea how you managed to buy them, they never answer anything sent to their office, there are many Brits playing companies and showing email addresses but they have no money for a computer to answer enquiries.
