Song - Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe Film - Dil Chahta Hai Singer - Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, K K Lyricist - Javed Akhtar Music Director - Shanker, Ehsaan, Loy Artist - Aamir Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Saif Ali Khan Music On - T-Series
Everybody is praising to Aamir , akhsay , Saif and the music but no one is thinking about Farhan Akhtar it was the first movie as a director and he nailed it . director is the real hero of any film.
Sometimes all we need to listen are these lines! "Duniya Roothe, Roothne Do, Bandhan Toote, Tootne Do, Koi Chhoote, Chhootne Do, Na Ghabraao.." #UltimateMedicine
My earliest memory of KK is of 2005 at an employee family function in Maruti Suzuki. He was singing "Tadap Tadap Ke" followed by "koi kahe kehta rahe" and it was raining but he did not stop his performance. This feels like a part of our heart has been taken from us. So many fond memories of us being in school or with our friends, singing his songs out loud. Happy memories. To this day, his songs are still a part of our playlists and will continue to be a part of our lives. Kings never die. Your voice will be missed dearly.
There is a video on YT where KK is performing on stage with the independence rock band. He was singing Aap Ki Dua from his album Pal and the dumb audience are throwing plastic bottles at him. This was in the year 1999. He didn't even stop the performance for even a second. He kept on singing till the end dodging those bottles. He was a diamond. I'd rate him the greatest singer of modern era. Om Shanti.
Tight slap for those people who say KK can't sing party songs. This man is untrained but still no one can match his versetility and powerful rocking voice.
Right bro.I am the fan of kk sir since 8th grade when kk,imran, himesh were rocking music world.unfortunately kk sir remained underrated despite so much hit songs like tadap tadap ke,aankhon me teri, khuda jane ke(the song I dedicated to my 1st crush)and many more.but I am glad true music lovers like you are always there in comment sections.thanks to kk sir for the gift of best songs to my generation.
I performed on this song with two of my best friends when I was school for my teachers day celebration.. and Now I’m married got a 4 year old son and living in London .. Time flies man
Back when clubbing, partying and nightlife was really just about enjoying and having a genuine social life AND NOT about capturing each moment for the heck of uploading it on Tinder, Instagram and Facebook. 🙁
Hey! I'm not 90s kid. I belong to 80s. Was 21 when this movie rocked theaters. Imagine we were in prime of our youth when this song was released. Hats off to Farhan!! We were literally mad after listening to this.
Rest in peace K.K Sir 🙏🙏 golden voice of our age. This film was a true song of friendship Amir Khan,Akshayee Khanna,Saif Ali Khan voices Shankar Mahadevan,K.k,Shaan, symbolized a new decade and a new India.
@@mohitmohit3564 Arjit is not crap but I have seen many friends who don't know about the singers like kk , javed , Mohit etc and only talk about Arijit
Shaan's voice literally fits Saif so well, that I couldn't even doubt that it was not Saif singing all along. The singer actor voice combo used to be a literal reason why many songs and even films used to become iconic. In today's generation its so rare to happen, it's only arijit ranbir I can even think of.
farhan akhtar made this movie back in 2001. He made lakshya, don , don 2 after that. Every movie of his is a classic and way ahead of its time. Want him to start directing again man. One of the very best
KK's amazing songs and his unbelievable gayaki is haunting me now, so I'm here for to witness once more how Genius KK Sir was. Rest in peace Sir😔💔💔 black day for music...and the Dark phase of Indian Music continues😔🖤🖤
I still can't believe hez not with us. Look at the freshness in his voice at the time of DCH. We lost a gem 💎. If anyone's voice that reach my soul, it's KK.
I love how the singers' voices match the personality of the characters. Saif's character is laid back and a bit discreet so he has Shaan's soothing voice. Akshay's character is assertive so he has the confident voice of KK. Aamir's character is energetic so has the voice of Shankar Mahadevan, which drains out the other singers' voice.
People like KK are so unique and extraordinary. He is an institution himself, be it the way he sang his heart out, his super melodious voice and the kind of an amazing down to Earth personality he was. He will always remain in our hearts that's for sure ❤️ RIP Legend.
No cheapness, no cheap lyrics, no munni, no Laila, no Katrina Just pure good music and good vibes! Such a happy song! And new musicians should take these words seriously! - hum naye hain hamara andaaz bhi naya hoga!
well i personally love this song , but you can't say that every song in this decade was way superior than songs now a days , it just seems like it but thats not the case if you really make a list of all the legendary songs from every decade they all will contain almost the same number of songs and i am not trying to bash you or anything, but really think about how many fucked up songs there are in almost every era but we remember only good ones
and also this munni , sheela you might not like these songs but they were the biggest hit at their respective times so if something is not your cup of tea then don't drink it , there are so independent artists that are still creating some amazing songs you just need to spend more time searching them rather than bashing creaters.
and one last thing bollywood is just busy recreating older songs that i totally agree with and it sucks but still look for less famous artists you'll definetly find some hidden gem on you tube
These three are nepotism kids but that doesnt feel like our struggling starkids of current era! Such were the vibes and we wholeheartedly would enjoy them
This movie is one of the sweetest memories of my uni days. I sung this song in my final year's annual party and it was fun singing it. Songs, acting and story everything was brilliant, kudos to actors and Farhan Akhtar for this, certainly it was way ahead of it's time.
KK's voice seedhe dil tak ...his smile...his positive aura...oh god.. I didn't know him bfor but recently came to know dat all my favorite songs were sung by KK...Just one month bfor I searched in Google who sang kyun ajkal song bcoz I loved the way he sang....tab KK ko jana....slowly patha chala sare hit songs sab unke hey... Tamil songs bahuth hits diye hey...feeling proud dat hi is a malayali but malayalam industry was not dat lucky to have him....even he was a malayali he loved hindi most as I do...tribute dena chahthe huey bhi nahi dey pa rahi coz iam unable to control my emotions and i start crying whenever I start singing his songs ...jab tak vo khud se nahi kahe k am not trained nobody can find out...and if music is inborn den train hona is not dat important..u proved it KK.....god🙏
I blame this movie and song for my expectations of nightclubs. I am yet to see one with this much space between people and everyone dancing in tandem ;)
I remember grooving to this song as a kid The first urban song which began a new era in bollywood music. Can't believe you're no more 😭 Rest in peace legend 💔🕊️
Ham logo ki thokar me hai jamana, That's how javed akhtar changed perception of young generation of that time coz the time where every second bollywood movie either patriotic or love based drama. Thank you composers and makers for this gem.
sometimes it just takes one song to take u straight back to the beautiful flashback of our life ... :) this is one of it ...(y) ..cheers if u too have memories associated with it ..
Much better than today's so called party songs. 2001 ke hisab se dekha jaye toh this song is way ahead of its time. Nostalgia arrives when I watch it on TV in early 2000's. Aaj ki generation sochti hai Yo Yo ya phir Baadshah ki rap hai toh party song hai Look at this song KK, Shaan and Shanker Mahadevan have sung this song with no rap and with great lyrics.
Everything about this song was so ahead of it's time. Too cool for that time, seriously. We were just shifting from Millennials era to Gen Z, And at perfect time, This movie came with it's "nayi andaaz"... Seriously, My childhood was so colorful due to movies/music like these 💚💜💙
I'll have a very hard time recovering from this. I don't have words to define the greatness of this man as an Artist, KK means so much to me. His songs were like an ointment to my overwhelming sadness/agony & will still be. My All-time favourite singer who me gave so much Nostalgic memories, so many beautiful songs & a much needed tranquil state of mind, is no longer with me. I really used to cry while feeling the beauty of the strawberry-world that his voice created in my mind. It's very well said that people may forget you but they'll never forget what you made them feel. I've grown up listening his songs and witnessing such a tragic end to this is definitely depressing. I can't fathom what has just happened. I was flabbergasted to hear this news. Loosing him is no less than loosing a closed one (for me). I wish the bereaved family members of his family may find strength in recovering from this loss. Unnatural deaths hurt the most. The overwhelming grief is gonna engulf me. Pain is immeasurable. Nothing can numb my pain now. Yes, I'll smile because he once existed. After all, WHAT IS GRIEF IF NOT LOVE PERSEVERING?
Year 2001 - Aamir Khan has 2 films releases, rest is history. Both films as different as can be!! Both fantabulous movies.. June - Lagaan August - Dil Chahta Hai
